Never really thought Essien would have to say something like this. His form this season and injury last season explains this. Even if he is not the midfield general , could atleast be a major engine in our scheme. What do you lot think?
He hasn't played well this season but only a handful of our squad has! If the club wants him gone though, we should sell him while we can still get good money for him... BUT I'd hate to see him leave!
We would be mad to sell him, but having said that he did have a very poor season by his standards. I would rather offload Mikel, Kalou and Anelka as well as Zhirkov and Boswinga. If the papers are right and Guus has £150 million to spend and the money from those sales could be added to that we could see a very busy and exciting summer ahead of us.
