The Ghanaian midfielder, who currently plays for AC Milan, left the Blues last January following a successful spell at Stamford Bridge spanning nearly nine years. And despite being offered the opportunity to return to the Premier League by two different clubs, the 32-year-old opted to remain loyal to the Blues. ‘Essien will not play in the Premier League for any club other than Chelsea,’ agent Fabien Piveteau told Calciomercato. ‘We had offers from West Bromwich Albion and Queens Park Rangers but we refused.’ Blues fans may recall Frank Lampard insisting he could never play for another Premier League side at the end of his Chelsea career, yet may now line-up against his former club at Stamford Bridge next weekend.
Has someone just made up an entire piece about a player saying he's not going to England just as an excuse to get in another dig at Lampard and City? Very good! The best thing about supporting a team that isn't in the premier league is you don't end up being linked to 97 million players in every transfer window...
Someone he's heard of Over 31 Injury Prone Not been in-form for over three years Cheap to buy and expensive to run Ticks all the Redknapp boxes, I can see why this has sprung up
Wow, you must have borrowed 13 other people to count that high! Hard to imagine you have that many friends.....hold on you used toes too didn't you, you little minx. Essien still younger than John Racist Terry.
He should come to Loftus Road. The whole "another Premier League club" thing won't be an issue next season.
