    Speculation that Essien has suffered a serious knee injury and im wondering if Chelsea will go after Tiote. Worried they might.

    I don't think we should sell him at any price, but if the club want money they'll haggle and get them up to a high price like Carroll. He should be sold for no less than 25 million. He's on a 6 year deal now.

    I don't see it. Tiote is a good player but everything coming out of Chelsea seems to be indicating they want more expansive football and creative players. They have enough players in the same mould as Tiote like Ramires and Mikel. It will probably make them even more determined to get Modric or Moutinho.

    Ancelotti might have but I dont think Villas Boas will have seen much of him. Also Essien will be back after a while so Tiote will have to consider that he'd be 2nd choice, if an offer even came in. I think if they do bring someone in it would (hopefully) be someone from the Portuguese league.

    Essien injured? i'm shocked. Agreed that Villas Boas will probably (hopefully) have his sights set elsewhere. Who did they have playing that role at porto?

    Maybe even Meireles? He's apparently on the way out of Liverpool. Moutinho's quite highly rated, and they want big names so if they bring someone in I think it would be someone like that.

    He was at Porto with Villas-Boas. I think Fernando played defensive midfield for Porto last season for whoever was asking.

    I don't see it, They'd have to pay up to around 20 million for Tiote which I don't think they would be prepared to do!
