You couldn't make it up. Does no-one proof read anymore? You can expect the media to forget little old Hull City but we were playing Uncle Harry and his team so I wouldn't expect them to be ignored. Another season of flying under the radar coming up. We are the MH370 of the football world.
It also says Frank Lampard scored his penalty against us on the opening day last season. Now, I'm sure I remember McGregor saving that one too. Edit: Actually forget this - it might be referring to free-kicks.
I don't know what anyone was complaining about, there was only one penalty that missed and that was Mark Noble's.
Yeah, has always irritated me that a great save from a goalkeeper is regarded as a "miss". It isn't, it's a "Great Save". Austin did ok, McGregor did better!
but the aim of a penalty is to get over the goal line, he did miss the goal line just like if I was aiming for a deer and a rabbit got in the way, I still missed the deer pedant pedant pedant pedant
I agree with bcc really, if a player takes a shot in open play, it's saved by the keeper, not missed, missed implies it's wide or above the goal posts bcc is fun to wind up
Yes it is poor reporting but McGregors heroics have hardly been overlooked elsewhere. Thankfully also the award of the Qpr penalty has been rightly slaughtered. Gary Neville on the MNF last night being the latest to have a go at the award. The main thing is that HULL CITY WON 1-0 in Harry's back garden. Good enough for me and we move on now.
