Eriksson’s buys just to get out of the Championship?

    There’s been an awful lot of money spent at Leicester City this season. The fans are jubilant that finally the club has some serious weight in the transfer market but is all this expenditure only a short term fix?

    Article below sums up the problems in Eriksson’s buys, particularly at the back. In short, their simply not good enough for the top flight.

    Is a £15 million pound transfer total just the beginnings of life at the King Power Stadium?

    This article is useless for the simple fact that any back 4 needs time to learn each other...with so few games played as a unit how can anyone possibly comment on thier effectiveness?

    So you are saying if we get promoted we will have to spend money to strengthen the squad?

    I am sure someone will post one of those images that simply say "DUR!"

    Eriksson has bought in alot of players that want to play premier league football, this is far from a quick fix.

    If we do go up, i can imagine that we would only bring in a couple of "big signings" in order to sustain us as a permanent premier league side.

    A badly written article which makes refutable points. All our first team defenders are Premiership class - two have come from the Premiership, Bamba is wanted by Prem teams and Mills is a fantastic prospect. Kasper is also experienced at the top level. Yes, we'll strengthen in all areas if we're promoted. QPR bought tons of players when in the Championship - now they've just bought a load more. Such is the way in turning a second tier also-ran into an established Premiership team.

    Schmeichal- one of the CCC best.

    painstil- europa league finalist

    Mills- best in CCC when bought, wanted by prem

    Bamba- wanted by prem

    Konchesky- 2 years ago thought good enough for "big 4 team"

    Fernandes- Man city regulat

    Wellens- once wanted by prem

    King- once wanted by prem

    Nugent- a prem teams record signing

    Beckford- a top halfs team top scorer last season

    vassell- past it in the prem



    yes we will have to strengthen, but i think they will hodl their own a bit too.
