Recently I have read several articles/blogs/post on this comparison. My claim is that it's absurd. They're both attacking midfielders, and that's it. Eriksen is a developing player, with a top-class pass and an unique creative vision.
We can compare careers when he's on the top of his game.
It's like comparing Christiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, claiming they're the same type of player...

It's an insult to Laudrup that they are comparing Eriksen to him already. They should come back in 10 years time <ok>

They've been at it since Eriksen had his Ajax debut when he was 17. Laudrup has always had the class to take pressure off Eriksen, saying he should create a name of his own.
Eriksen, goes without saying, has been fed up with the debate for years.
There's great mutual respect between them. As they're both intelligent, communicative, men...

Eriksen looks like he takes giant steps . Laudrup's probably more tricky, but this guy looks very good ,maybe more deliberate and stronger .

Comparing them isn't insulting, young players are often compared to some of the greats as they're developing, particularly greats of the same nationality. Barkley had about 5 Premier League appearances in him before some Sky pundit compared him to Gazza.

And Bale is similar to Ronaldo, it's a pretty obvious comparison to make.
