  2. I'm a bit scared by the fact that he scored 19 goals in 09/10 but only 9 in 10/11

Can't say i'm too bothered about signing this guy, would rather have Shane Long, Daniel Larsson or Kolbein Sigthorsson

Maybe we should wait till the end of the transfer window as Waitrose always drastically reduce thier stock to sell <whistle>

He's decent good pace and finishing he averages one in two games just about so it's a decent record was injured most of last season I think

  8. I've got a feeling that my pre-season prediction has some truth behind it now.

I had a feeling that the club and Mike Ashley would make it look like we were interested in top players like Gervinho (no bid was actually put in by NUFC btw), so they can say "oh well we tried", so then they can go the cheapest way and buy mostly unknown foreign players like this guy.

At least it ain't Aldi or Lidl!

I too got drawn in by talk of Gervinho, but honestly we are just about a mid table team at present and players like Erdinc will improve us vastly (how we persuaded cabeye I will never know), better than the winter windo with talks of Puncheon!

im really finding it hard to get excited about this guy, from reports we are gonna get him for 8/9 million and for that sort of money i feel there are better players out there we was after gameiro for the same amount. im also worried about the 9 goals last season

but if Carr has recomended him then there must be something about him which makes him think he can cut it in the premier league

Regardless of what we are, all the noises coming out the club suggest we're aiming for Europe next year... (we won't get there, but that's what they're aiming for). Read the publicity from Yohan Cabaye's transfers, the quotes suggest that he's expecting a push in that direction.

I trust our scouting team, if Carr says Erdinc then Erdinc is the man for me.

Once we wrap up Ba, Erdinc and hopefully a decent winger.. zog, pritoipa etc then that shows intent to move on up.

Remember we have gosling and hba to come back.

Maybe it'll Persuade jose, barton and nolan to sign up.

Erdinc missed most of last season with injury so i wouldnt worry about the 9 goals.

His strike rate was still around 1 in 2

8 in 22 isnt really that bad, considering he had an injury aswell as a few of those games being sub appearences when gaing full fitness. I think with better service than he did at PSG he can become a cracking striker. Also if Carr says he is good enough then I think he is too.

Sometimes players are better suited to the PL than other leagues for example Tiote being in and out of the FC Twente team and then a major hit in the PL. The same can be said about Odimwingie. Maybe carr thinks Erding will suit the PL more than the French league. But I would say that this is a good signing if it comes off!

I think 90% of this board had no idea of that and have based their opinions on the misguided assumption he was fit all season and played most games.

If what you say is true then i think we should all be way more positive about him.

Agreed, Carr is a beast, 3 potentially world class players for 15 mil...the mans a genius, Ben Arfa for 5 mil is ridiculous considering hes only 24, Tiote for 4 mil was an immense signing and caybe release clause very clever and by all accounts he worth more than 10 and also on the young side.

he's proper decent my uncle's french and supports psg and Erdinc is his favorite player. he rates him above Gamerio (but then agin he would) and from the few psg matches I've watched he looks very pacy and always troubles defenders
