    I'd still have him, he didnt say he didnt want to join us, just that he's happy at PSG. If they dont want him, his mind will change.

    He said he'd like to stay at PSG according to SSN, and i don't blame him because it looks like PSG are going to be champions league contenders in a few years time.

    But that doesn't mean he'd not like it here or not want to come here, it just means he has 1 preference above us.

    Marveaux would have rather signed for Liverpool, but they weren't willing to pay his wages so we stepped in. Just because we're 2nd choice to a player doesn't mean we shouldn't still go after him or that the player wouldn't like being here.

    He'll be covering his back for if he leaves so he can play the "I was forced out" card

    Even if a player was cautious at first to join a club they can easily be won over once they get there.

    That is true but I dont even rate Erding.
    Obviously I'll give him a chance to prove me wrong but I wouldn't be bothered if he did not join.

    I'm assuming he's more of a play-maker. I'm more worried about the fact our second choice is Shane Long?! Can we seriously not do better?

    Well said... we probably wouldn't have signed Ben Arfa if someone like Liverpool or Arsenal had been interested.

    But Arsenal and Liverpool were weren't they?
    Sure there was a story about him turning down Liverpool because he didn't like the area xD
    Dont know why he turned down Arsenal like, he said he prefers our style of play but I find that hard to believe.

    Liverpool tried to sign him in January but he didn't even speak to them because he wants to repay us fans for supporting him through his injury, plus he loves the place as well with all the PR he's been doing.

    He really values being part of the starting XI, and kicked up a serious fuss at both Lyon and Marseille when he found himself on the bench. So I think he's a player who really wants to play, and probably overlooked clubs like Arsenal knowing at Newcastle he'd get a better opportunity to compete week in week out

    I meant when he signed on loan, he would have probably chose Liverpool over us if he knew they were interested last summer.
