This may be a dumb question - it wouldn't be my first - but ..... is there a database of future race entries anyplace on the internet? Or are they on a subscription site? I know that ATR website shows forward entries when you look at the form for a particular horse, but if the horse isn't on that day's card (or the following day) there doesnt seem anyway to find it.
    I hope that is understandable!

Entries are made, for most races, 5 days in advance of the race, though the big races have earlier closing dates.

If you are looking for a specific horse then you can subscribe to GG.com and flag up which horses you want to know about, though they will only let you know the day before they run.

If you want entries in general then the Racing Post site is the way to go, Just check their "Cards" section.

On top of the excellent advice proffered by Princess Newmarket, you might like to visit the Sporting Life Meetings site.

This offers British entries for the next five days, plus if you are a real gambling addict, they also list meetings in Canada, the United States and South Africa.

For the British meetings it is possible to click the name of the horse on each racecard to view the recent form. The US and Canadian cards do not appear to have this facility but the South African ones do.

The British cards also show the colours, if you happen to be sat at home watching, and have a betting forecast, a “verdict” and “formwatch” (a few notes on each runner) for races today and tomorrow (once the final declarations have been made).

    Major upcoming races:

Click on any of these and, as QM says, click on any horse to see its form, pedigree etc. click any horse in the pedigree and trace the full pedigree.
