    Worried me, that, today.

The rock we have build our recent success on has been our defence. That first half was easily the worst defensive performance of the season by a distance; we could have been 4 zip down.

The positive was, I suppose, that they learned in the second half, no doubt with some help from Nick at half time, but even so the first half was shocking.

A couple of the phuck ups were AGAIN down to Daws; the first beiung caught out in a ridiculously advance position leaving a massive hole at left back and the second was when he gave a hospital pass to Stewart, who was promptly robbed, which resulted in the one on one for Sinclair. Mannone did well in general, be that WAS a penalty. I reckon the the ref was feeling guilty about falling for Boyd's diving in and around the box, and therefore decided to even things up a bit.

But the big problem was that we were simply not pressing the ball in the middle. Credit to Posh they were quick they were intelligent and they worked hard. I was impressed with them. But even acknowledging that we were poor.

One thing I was impressed with was when the substitutions were made; well done Nick. Dudgeon MUST start he was excellent on the left. Also Brady was very impressive in the Koren role. Well done young man.

Finally, for those criticizing Corry Evans recently, I hope you can now admit how good he is. When Cairney came on and Brady moved over to the right, Evans took over the Koren role, and he also was excellent, culminating in that exquisite chip over the goalie that so nearly went in. In fact he got my vote for MOTM.

So, some positives, not least the win, but we MUST practice limiting opponents space and time on the ball.

Good post Strov, don't take anything away from the posh today, in the first 22 minutes they were the best side I've seen at the KC this season. The players who had last Saturday off were really slow to get going. The goal was against the run of play, but hey we're at home and deserved some luck.

At the end we deserved the luck, and the win!

Evans was MOTM for me, McKenna has to start he was great and we need someone to put that roundy thing in the Netty thing ASAP, let's hope the young fella from Man U can do the trick

Agree that Dawson should be replaced. Dudgeon is better at attacking, defending, everything.

I don't think it was a pen at all though. If the player (Kearns?) was actually trying to achieve something and was brought down then yes penalty. But if he is just aiming for nothing other than to be brought down and win a penalty then he doesn't deserve one. All he did was kick it off the pitch and bump into Vito. It couldn't have been more clear what he was trying to do and the ref obviously noticed that. He should have been booked for it (it's no better than diving IMO).

I also agree that Evans was MotM; he got everywhere today and while I was worried when Cairney came on that no one would support McLean, he certainly did just that as you say.

If that was a bad performance on our part, and we still had the lion's share of possession, chances and corners (I daresay) what does that tell you? We're showing week after week that we are a top footballing side, we're no worse than the likes of Southampton except for that important thing of finishing chances. If we had two big buggers like they do, we'd be up there with them.

Thats the best match summary on here, (not just saying that cos we are mates either Strov). Way too much praise on some threads for a pretty piss poor performance against a very limited team. Start like that in the prem and the game would be over after 5 mins. The main culprits Evans Mckenna Hobbs and Chester and Rosy. Did anyone see Boyd shrug off Mckenna drop his shoulder and stroll away. Mckenna couldnt even run to catch him instead he turned round and bollocked Stewart for his own poor play.
But Nick sorted it at half time thankfully and those same players got their act together.

Sorry to plug Amber Nectar on here, but their match summary (as always) was spot on for me, and pretty much echoes most of the comments on here.
