I can see more and more why Rodgers doesn't favour him. Having watched our slick passing game develop, it is obvious that Enrique struggles with it. He completely lacks any composure and intelligence in close situations. He does play a good ball now and then, but thats about it.

I thought he had a good game, was very good going forward and pretty solid defensively, created a couple of chances too. Certainly wasn't the worst player on the pitch, and if he can get back to anything like he was at the start of last season we have a cracking player.

Don't think he lacks composure, if anything, he's too composed and tends to get complacent on the ball. He made a mistake for the 2nd goal by switching off, but his tackling, strength and passing seemed ok today. Played in that awesome ball for Suarez in the first half, and the one for Sterling in the 2nd.

Think he looked ok today. Great first 20 and then was caught between the plan of going forward & the incompetence elsewhere.

Honestly think (as negative in some ways as it was) Everton played a perfect way today. Targeted & successfully unsettled our youngest & most dangerous players. timely on a day Suarez was dangerous. If they hadn't we'd have won by a big margin!

Enrique is more likely to pass it long and it showed he lacked game time in the Rodgers team. Wisdom looked out of his depth though. Suso was ok and Sahin was ok but neither set the world alight. Shelvey would've been a guaranteed starter if he'd not got sent off against the Mancs and we looked better for him. First 20 minutes we played well and last 20 minutes we played ok.

I think Wisdom got caught out by the constant attacking down the Everton left and fast paced game. Sahin was ok, but he really doesn't have the pace and determination for big games imo. Shelvey keeps impressing me, needs to be a bit calmer when shooting though.

I understand why he keeps getting dropped. Was ****ing useless today. Should of cut out the second goal but was nowhere and left Agger exposed.

That is true but there is no doubt he has been poor for a long while now and regularly leaves us exposed.

I don't know what happened to his form from when he first joined. We and Newcastle were raving about him then.

True he wouldn't of - but thats because he's been poor for some time. We're moving players out of their positions to play in front of him.

Personally I think he needs a run of games, but its dangerous when he's giving goals away.

For the second goal you could see for at least 10 seconds before the ball went in that Enrique was out of position. He had so much time to get in front of the blueshite player, yet he didn't. He's not the smartest lad.

I know. Maybe he's just not good enough? He must be low of confidence too though.

Shame because I thought Skerts deserved to be on the winning team. I thought he was excellent.

Thought he did ok but agree that he could have cut out the goal if he had been more switched on.

For me Johnson is now our left back and if Robinson can step up then Enrique is a player that I could see leaving.

I can see Rodgers binning him, along with Downing, Carroll - and actually Henderson too although I hope he stays.

It's difficult because we need the depth - but you could also put forward the point that you need to trust your back up players.

I don't see Henderson going, I think he's a good player and will get better as he gets older.

Yeah I'm starting to agree. My point was more that i'm not sure Rodgers is sold on him.

I actually think chucking Downing in today after his goal would of been a good shout. The fact he didn't shows Rodgers has no confidence in him which says to me he's a gonner.

Am I the only one who actually thought he played pretty well? Of course there were some mistakes, but when you haven't played in months, it's bound to happen. I'd actually be more comfortable with him on the left and Johnson on the right than Johnson on the left and Wisdom on the right at the moment, after Wisdom got beat down his side... May not be the popular opinion, but I actually thought he was good for us today.

In my opinion, Henderson is becoming a bit of an 'Early Lucas'. I thought he playued pretty well when he came on and I ultimately think he'll be very good for us.

I've always liked Hendo, he doesn't **** up much and he is a good pair of fresh legs to have come on.

Hendo can stay, Enrique can as well, Just can't see Downing and Carroll staying.

    I blame Comolli.
