With Jose still starting on Saturday and probably against Arsenal too if he's still with us had a thought, what happens if no bids match our asking price.

Would you rather, get £7M-£10M now

or keep him this year and see him leave on a free next season?

Ah come on man that's easy. For a fan it has to be stay and lose him for nowt. For a business it has to be the other one.

He seems to have completely lost interest, last few games of the season he was very average. I'd accept £10m now IF we have a reasonable replacement lined up.

I would have said 7-10 mill now, but I just don't see who we could get to adequately replace him. So I voted for keep him.

Keep - realistically we won't see 7-10m spent (at least this summer) on a decent player and if it was it would feel wasted.

Don't get me wrong, he's a fabulous player who if he had a long contract could easily fetch £20m in today's market but if he doesn't want to play for us I don't want him playing for us. We're not going to get a replacement of his quality BUT we can find someone who will put a shift in (which Jose no longer seems willing to do).

Someone like Warnock or Bridge, not brilliant but prem quality.

Either way he needs to be replaced. There's a chance we'll spend on a new LB if we get money this summer but no chance if he leaves on a free next summer and there's no cash to even tempt MA.

Did you see Bridge at West Ham? He was terrible, really - like bad enough to change the scoreline every game.
I'd much rather give a reserve/fringe player a chance or play R. Taylor at LB than that

I went with keeping him, as I like others don't see who would replace him that's either on par or significantly better.

But then he goes for nothing. We cant escape the fact he needs replacing.

I see him leaving before the window shuts and the longer we have for getting a replacement the better so I'd take the £7/10 million now to bring in his replacement rather than panic like hell with hours of the window left and not get anyone or pay through the nose for dross.

  14. He's going on a free anyway because Ashley most likely wont reinvest the cash.

Just get rid the **** for £10million. And let Ashley keep it all. He can keep the AC money aswell. Soon as that loan is paid off he can **** off and throw himself off a ****ing bridge.

I'd like him to stick around for a year with you guys if I'm honest - very good player when he looks motivated but from what I hear he was already sub-par at the end of last year... be interesting to see how it pans out.

I'm not disputing that fact, that much is clear that either way he will need replacing. But why replace him with somebody sub standard when you could keep him for the remainder of the season, all though if he plays how he did for the final few games of the season then why bother.

Enrique is my favourite player and we will not get as good or better replacement. But that will be equally true in a year's time, so I say sell him now and get the funds necessary to buy a replacement.

As OT says do it quickly so that we have plenty of time in this window to find a replacement.

thing is if he ends up staying for this season he has to impress future employers so i see his lack of desire at the end of this season not translating to this campaign
