In today's press, Enrique on Carroll:

"The most important thing for him was he had the opportunity [to play] again," Enrique said. "He had three good chances to score but it was the same for him as everyone.

"Andy is a great player. Nobody pays £35m for a player for nothing and Andy is a great player. He is value.

VALUE???????????? Jose mate, Ashley pulled the three card trick on cash rich Dalglish.

Enrique on Liverpool struggle to score:

"Goalkeepers save their best for Anfield", says Enrique
"It's the same every single week and I don't know what has happened," Enrique said.

"We had a lot of chances and that was important. But I don't know what happens with the keepers when they come here. He [Blackburn's Bunn] was the man of the match again. I just think when the luck comes we will start to get a lot of points."

..............................................................................................................

Funny that. Putting a woeful ( for them)goal tally down to goalkeepers playing out of their skins and Mandy fluffing chances whilst being the EPL's second most expensive impact sub:cheesy:

To be fair to Jose several keepers have had blinders at Anfield and they hit the bar A LOT.

I hate it when people use having a goal keeper as an excuse!!

'Oh if X hadn't of been in goal we would of scored more' Hmm well that is what a goal keeper is suposed to do, it is their job!

Don't care about them now. They no longer for this club, they're Liverpool players, i only care about nufc and taking all 3 points from Anfield. <ok>

If this is what joining a "big club" does to a player it makes you wonder.

I buy the "keepers have had a blinder" argument to a point. **** finishing is now more relevant though.

I just love that line about saving their best performances for Anfield, as if that was the way goalkeepers work:

"Well, I just thought – I won't bother palming away this 30-yard top-corner bound volley because we're away to Liverpool in two weeks time. I'll do it then...."

Sadly it's almost exactly like the way Andy Carroll is storing up all those strikes on target for when he plays us!

That's the attutude, they don't play for you any more so I don't understand the obsession from some Newcastle fan's, if player leave's Liverpool ( on good term's ) they are wished well and the old nobody is bigger than the club saying is pulled out, Obvioulsy not the same at Newcastle, a lot of your fan's seem to be very bitter.

If they do leave on good terms, they normally are... However i would say that they both left on bad terms

Of course we're bitter, you think Carroll left on good terms? He's a little tosser and every little failure is fantastically funny as his move explodes in his and Liverpool's faces. You telling me you dont find it funny how **** Torres has been for Chelsea?

Extremely arrogant to suggest that goalkeepers play better against Liverpool. That has to be one of the lamest excuses i've heard in years.

I guess the same keepers deliberately dive the wrong way against Citeh and Man U.

I've noticed with Liverpool that there is usually some sort of conspiracy behind any shortfall in their performance. God forbid that they might in any way be responsible.

That is definitely joke of the day. Liverpool fans wrote the bitter rulebook at the time Michael Owen joined us and he'd already left them a year earlier for Real Madrid!

Obviously you'll try and say he didn't leave LFC on good terms, so let's play name a player that EVER has?

In the eyes of a supporter there's never a good and justified reason for a favourite player to leave your club. Liverpool fans are just as guilty, end of...
