5 mins to go away at Reading. You're 2-0 up. Looking comfortable. Then they score. Fine. 2-1. We can hang on to this and maybe get a third. In the last minute of added time they get a goal. 2-2 away at the second bottom side when 2-0 up with 5 mins left. Rafa has to go. We didn't want him in the first place. Before RDM was put as manager, we were chanting against Benitez and thankfully RDM got the job. But why oh why when we make it clear we don't want him does Roman go and hire him!? He has publicly said that we have 'plastic' fans who show no passion. He holds Liverpool very close to his heart. Why on earth would we get him ffs!? Surely he has to go. Let's look at the facts: Some of the games under Rafa: Results under Rafa: West Ham 3-1 Chelsea Chelsea 0-0 Fulham Chelsea 0-1 Corinthians Chelsea 0-1 QPR Chelsea 2-2 Southampton Chelsea 0-2 Swansea Brentford 2-2 Chelsea Reading 2-2 Chelsea Wow... Really tough opponents there and not a single farking win! Not one! A total of 4 points there out of 8 games and lets be honest, we should be beating them. We have gone out of the League cup with a whimper. We lose the Club World Cup final to a team we really should beat. We have lost so much ground on the two Manchester clubs it's a joke. The players don;t look interested anymore. Torres still manages to start regularly when Ba has ben doing well. Ba came on for 3 mins today against Reading. 3 mins!? What is he going to do in that time!? Torres had a shot today which went for a throw in and almost went backwards! I thought Rafa was meant to be a tactical genius? Tactical genius my arse. His subs lose us games. When we need to change a game, he doesn't. He waits until the final minutes to alter things. He takes off our best players... Yes... other supporters will say how scummy we are and vile for how we treat Rafa but if you look at the facts, he simply has to go. We show no desire, passion, grit or determination and it saddens me. I'm going to Newcastle on Saturday and I expect us to lose... It's sad that this is now the case. Enough is enough.
It probably would but this is Roman... he has a reputation. I'd give anything just to get this fat Spanish waiter out of our club... Tactically inept
I agree - what kind of manager brings on a striker for a striker when 2-1 up with the momentum against you? JT on the bench as well. Outrageous.
That wasn't it!? We had 2 left backs starting the game. Bertrand is hopeless as a left midfielder. He is a left back! Torres started. He has done **** all recently apart from scoring against a league 1 side! Ba came on for 3 mins!!! 3 ****ing mins! What can he do!? Benayoun (a player who has constantly said bad things about the club) comes on for our best player! Terry doesn't start. Against Brentford... right back for right back when 2-1 down. He's a tactically inept bafoon!!!
Atleast you know he won't be there next season I wonder how this man got a job at all after his Inter performance.
Did no one notice that Liverpool finished trophyless in Benitez' last four years in charge of them? In the 2008/09 season Liverpool could well have won the league until Rafa cracked under the pressure and they threw it away. The next season the went out of the Champions League at the group stages and he took Liverpool from runners up to 6th. He then went and undone all the great work Jose done at Inter Milan. He made a treble winning side look like the Italian 5pu1s. How this guy was even considered for a job with us, let alone actually appointed as manager, is beyond me.
Being perfectly serious, what is the solution in your opinions. People who go back to a team a second time are rarely successful whether they're players or coaches. Robbie Keane proved that at Spurs and Defoe is now stuttering. So bringing JM back with a host of different players and staff might not work. So who do you want to coach you?
ANYONE but Rafa the clown. He must be the worst manager in the history of football. I can't think of anyone more inept.
I would take anyone who can be seen to be a motivator ,that is exactly what Jose Mourinho does, he took a hungry bunch of players, Lampard, Terry, Drogba, Essien,Robben, Duff, Joe Cole and Cech, who bare in mind were relatively unsuccessful in England and in European football (trophy wise) and added a couple of winners like Makelele and Carvalho and motivated them to the fact where they became near on unbeatable He made Stamford Bridge the greatest fortress in Premier League history and instilled a sense of fear that if the Chelsea went ahead you were not going to beat them Thats what made Jose great, and to say Jose cant do it with another set of players, this is The Special One we are talking about, the same guy who has motivated four different sides with a bunch of different players to league glory and two to European glory Who says he cant do it again???? But if not then my other picks for the next manager of Chelsea are Diego Simeone, Jurgen Klopp or David Moyes, nothing else would be acceptable because the other candidates, being Poyet and Zola have tags to the club which I dont want seeing ruined ala Di Matteo 2-0 up tonight and Jose would have pulled an attacking player for JT and stuck Azpilicueta in midfield, shutting up shop for the win Choices : 1 Mourinho 2 Klopp 3 Simeone 4 Moyes
Welll - Harry seems to be motivating the players at QPR - the same players that were in place before his brand of management arrived.
There was talk about Arry going to Chelsea but I can't see it,he's not a Chelsea type manager imo. Teams are only as good as their last result so after last night the question is are Reading improving or are Chelsea worsening? It's a question we won't be able to answer until the next match.
We're trying to nurse JT back into 90 minutes on the pitch! We started, and what happens? He sits on the bench for 90 minutes! WHY?????
lol!! The waiter should stick to serving drinks. Feel sorry for you Chelseas fans..The mans as big a clown as Kenny.
As I posted on another thread, I can't see how the Reading result was Benitez fault when the team we had on the pitch at 86 minutes was EASILY good enough to have hung on for 6 more minutes... sure his Ba substitution was par for the course on mystifying (and crap), but that is still no excuse for letting slip with 6 minutes to go, especially with the kind of money the players are on. With all due respect, how many of Reading's players would get anywhere near our squad? Sorry, but this result is to do with a lack of character. Benitez doesn't help the situation, but he's just being used as an easy scapegoat for this one. Unless, we start instilling character and consistency into the club, getting rid of Benitez will solve nothing - the next manager will suffer as well, just as the 3 managers before Benitez have (Ancelotti, AVB, RDM)
