So did I, pleased someone else was watching, it was brilliant, not a fan of Warnock, but he is managing Duncan superbly no doubt about it.

Put a sub on and didn't take anyone off or something ridiculous like that.

I wasn't sure if they'd had a man sent off then we're making a sub but just hoyed another player on to make it back up to 11. Crazy stuff.

Lovely to see Portsmouth dropping points again. Peterborough looking very dangerous though, guna be a massive game when we head to their place.

You don't remember correctly, Clocky :emoticon-0145-shake

This was my youngest daughter's debut away game and I remember it well . . . . Tranmere had a man sent off and John Aldridge, the cheating bastard, subbed him. Yes, he brought on a sub for a player that had been sent off, and the ref. obviously didn't realise . . . . despite our best efforts to tell the useless twat <steam>

    We (S.A.F.C.)
apparently didn't even complain afterwards, and I've always thought that it was because of Reidy's affiliation with the area (although them being kicked out of the competition should have been a formality without the need for us to complain) :undecided:

I've hated Tranmere ever since :emoticon-0183-swear

Thanks for that Gordon, good story, I was not absolutely sure about it tbh., but that doesn't always stop me from chipping in, if nothing else it draws out the correct information and more, as here. Its all part of my delayed education, and a welcome assist to my fading, or as family say selective, memory. <ok>

I'm sure we did complain, mate. But it wasn't splashed all over the media and got brushed off by the FA. Tranmere had a woman chairman at the time who the press loved and I remember her making her mouth go about us a lot about it, basically accussing us of bullying them. Then Aldridge came out with a snidy comment when they were kept in the cup. I always thought he knew exactly what he was trying to do and the useless officials helped him do it and its funny he left there just afterwards and never managed another club again.
