Anyone here in year 11? I have just sat my 2nd English paper (Paper 2) and the question was to "Compare how Hurricane hits England presents feelings about the past to a poem of your choice". It was something along those lines but was wondering if anyone had sat the same exam today because I really found it hard but I'm hoping I did enough.

I included feelings, structure, techniques and language but something did not seem right.

Yeah but I did cluster 1, which was "Compare how political/social ideas are discussed in 'Two Scavengers' and one other poem." I found that reasonably easy, and section B was even easier, describe a scene in Summer and then in Winter.

Yeah I think they are keeping those poems for a few years. And I agree, you end up analysing stuff that isn't even there haha.

Don't worry abut it mate, even the teacher's don't know how to spell these days and you get your certificate for good attendance.

I always used to struggle with the third question. Name? I was fine with. Candidate No.: I was fine with. But I could never remember the ****ing date. Who knows what the date is every day? I knew which day it was, but date... I didn't even know I had an exam until I turned up at school/sixth form.

I was always up there, top ten percent, would've been right at the very top if they didn't ask such a stupid and irrelevant question. <whistle>

    Same. Did it today. <ok>

    Meh, don't really care what I get as long as it's a C(although I'm predicted to get a B). :emoticon-0105-wink:

    I compared it with ''Half-Caste''.

"WHY THE **** DID I NEED TO LEARN ENGLISH WHEN I AM FROM ENGLAND."

That was what I said to my English teacher when learning about poems. I came out with a C in the end though :emoticon-0110-tongu.
