The tournament starts this week with England's first game on Wednesday. We only have Clyne as a representative...let's hope he plays. Be interesting to watch this tournament as it won't be full of the usual suspects and the youngsters will be desperate to do well. Having said that, we don't have a great record in these tournaments because we don't take our first string...unlike teams like Spain. On a secondary note, the temperature in Israel has topped 40 deg this week...bodes well for the World Cup in Qatar doesn't it?
Quite looking forward to this game now. Should have a fair bit of attacking flair from the youngsters.
Also my first thought. I just started humming the Lallana chant to He plays on the left, he players on the right. NC does what the **** he likes.
Are the matches being shown on terrestrial television? I could have sworn I saw adverts for the tournament.
Seeing as I've finished my exams, I'll probably follow this tournament and the Confederations Cup closely.
ENGLAND: Butland; Clyne, Caulker, Dawson, Robinson; Henderson, Shelvey, Lowe; Sordell, Wickham, Redmond.
Zaha has an ankle problem - not been training properly. Lansbury had a groin problem in training the other day. Chalobah I probably agree with, though.
Ah, okay. Would Delfouneso not be a better choice than Wickham as well? I know he's still young but he's been stagnating at Sunderland. I'll be interested to see Robinson, who supposedly has a great future, and really hope Chalobah gets on at some point.
I dunno, Wickham has looked alright when I've seen him for England - and Pearce likes him. Wolves fans I know rated Robinson, when on loan. Just checked, Wickham has 6 in 13 for England U21.
