Gareth Southgate has said Hart is England's best keeper. So far he's let in 10 goals in 3 games, 3 1/3 goals per game, the 2nd worst record in the English professional leagues atm (yeovil are worse with 3 1/2). In his defence at West Ham he doesn't have one (defence that is), even Lev Yashin, at his glorious best, would've conceded a hatful in front of the slow headless chickens that play in front of him. That said, I dont think he's England's number 1, so who is?

PIckford, for me. Young, lots of potential, already playing at a very good level and his distribution is very good, too.
Butland's good too, but a little older and he's been plagued with injuries.
Fill out the squad with Heaton. Let Hart earn his place back.

He'll got more assists than a few midfielders some seasons. He's been doing that for years. Everton is a stepping stone to the big time so he can challenge to be the worlds number 1. He's that good.

Pickford for me at the moment though I'd be having him and Butland fight it out. Think a lot forget about Butland due to his injury but he's a very talented keeper too and still quite young.

I would actually go as far as to say that Joe Hart is the worst goalkeeper currently playing first team football in the PL. I honestly can't think of a goalkeeper worse than him. This is why Guardiola couldn't get rid of him quickly enough.

Southgate though is as per usual with England bosses scared to drop the established names.

For once I actually believe we have some quality goalkeepers in England, the likes of Butland and Pickford are class acts and should be 1st and 2nd in the squad, in that order for now, whilst either Heaton or Forster would be solid 3rd choice keepers.

Joe Hart should not be anywhere near that squad, nevermind the number 1 choice. I watch a lot of Serie A on a Sunday evening and he was shipping goals for fun at Torino last season, and he's continued that form at West Ham this year.

It just baffles me how some people, Gareth Southgate being one of them continue to fail to see what is obvious to all.

We should be giving the other guys experience now before the WC, not giving Hart more games.

We all seen what happened the last time Hart went to a major tournament for us, he let everyone down by making calamity after calamity, and we where on our way home. And then Leigh Griffiths made him look silly in the last proper competitive qualifier, not only once but twice in a few minutes.

Well so far this season Joe Hart has had 16 shots at his goal, and he's conceded 8 and saved 8. A 50% shot to save ratio. That is pretty shocking if you ask me. This is why West Ham are bottom.

Wayne Hennesy the goalkeeper of the 19th placed team Crystal Palace has saved 17 of the 23 shots at his goal. Begovic of the 18th placed side Bournemouth has saved 16 of the 21 shots at his goal.

Even Mat Ryan of Brighton has saved 5 of the 9 shots at his goal.

Interestingly Forster who you claim Hart is better than has saved 12 of the 14 shots so far at his goal, a big reason why Southampton are so far unbeaten having kept 2 clean sheets.

There is no one worse than Hart at this early stage of the season, and if West Ham hope to get out of this mess they've created for themselves by signing Hart, then they need to drop him quickly, as he's a joke of a goalkeeper. He shouldn't be playing in the top flight, nevermind playing for England.

it would be interesting to see the areas those shots were taken from, I don;t think Hart is England's number 1, but on the other hand I don't think he's near the worst, I can only think of 1 goal that he should've done better with, his main problem so far has been the hapless defending in front of him, which is the reason West Ham are bottom, 2 pens and the rest pretty much 1v1's in the 6 yard box.
