Obviously, it's an article that doesn't mean anything and is just for fun, but it talks about stats and performance. Two QPR players make it in to the team!

I think they'd make a good team but the lack of experience would become apparent. In any case, I actually think it's more about leadership and organisation so I think for England to have success it's more about who's in charge and organising them. That is why I was so certain Harry leaving would be the best thing for us. I had no doubts about the players' abilities; I had doubts about Harry's organising and preperation.

It suggests that Green has only been number one for this season - do we trust their stats?

Maybe it's referring to premier league football only? The stats aren't that important. It's just nice to see recognition. If others can see it, maybe the VIPs can see it.

With that said, I'm not sure I want Woy to be coming in for Austin or Green at this point.

Sorry, I was just being a bit flippant.

I agree with your sentiments about the quality of player we have and it is nice to get that recognition. I think Green would take everything in his stride but I'd rather Austin wasn't called up - he still has some development to do on his general game and doesn't need the distraction IMO.

That said, I have held the opinion for a while (and I don't think it's a unique one) where form should count for more than it does in the selection process.

I'm a big admirer of Charlie Austin and his journey from non league football to the premier league is an inspirational one.
I think he is a good goal scorer and is excellent at attacking the ball in the box both on the ground and in the air.
However, I believe that his lack of pace and quite ordinary all round game means that he is not good enough for the step up to international football.
    Harry kane quite possibly is.
