Think it's safe to say that England won't be doing too much in next year's Euros. Ofcourse we all knew this already but fck me this is woeful stuff against Spain. Men against boys atm. Spain are just toying with us.

Thank fck Rooney isnt playing otherwise he'd be the scapegoat again.

I think England nearly touched the ball then.

    Oh no, my mistake

Spain are in training mode and playing in 2nd gear but the commentators are getting excited when England get possession.

Lallana gets the ball with 3 spaniards in hot pursuit nipping at him like terriers. Adam goes on a full pelt 40 yard mazy run... towards his own goal. Heroic stuff.

I'm not watching it but I said to my lad this morning that England would play for a 0-0 draw despite it being a friendly. I assume I called Woy's tactics correctly?

If Spain stepped up to 3rd gear you'd define it as firefighting. As it is, Spain are stroking the ball around nonchalantly which has given the likes of Sterling and Delph some hope. But it's purely down to Spain should they choose to swat them at any time. When Spain have stepped it up, the tactic from Woy is as you said.

Costa has been fcking woeful mind. Pure garbage.

As long as Spain keep starting Costa, they won't do anything eitheir. The guy sticks out like a sore thumb im that set up. They should go back to the false 9.

Switched it on just in time to watch Costa being subbed. His international career has been a farce so far. Great goal by Mario.

The Granny Shagger's now on so he can shoulder the blame for everything!

England goalkeeper Joe Hart: "It's strange that we played on a Third Division pitch.

"I'm not making excuses and I might be talking rubbish but I am upset."

Spain goalkeeper Iker Casillas: "I now have 100 clean sheets in international football."

Hart is such a self important pussie!

Those who cannot see the difference between Spain's possession football and Van Gaal's possession football are clearly living in an alternate universe.

But apparently you can't play attacking, one touch possession football as that sonehow equates to losing games. Bcos apparently Spain don't defend.

That's where a Third Division team should play

The game was played at the home of Hercules C.F. They're a yo-yo side currently in the second division. The reason the game was held there was because they knew there'd be a bunch of pissed up Englishmen willing to pay €50-100 to watch it....

The guff about protecting Pique is just that....

England could do okay at the euros if they play to there strengths and that's playing deep very compact with the ox and sterling on either wing with Walcott up front and hope to catch teams on the break

If this season's performances are anything to go by, the,OX does not deserve a spot in the starting line up. If fit, I would play Welbeck, he seems to always play well England.

I think he can improve he rarely gets back to back starts for us.I want to see what he can do with a run of games but the welbeck option could work with welbeck theo and sterling swapping positions throughout the game

Welbeck is dodgy in front of goal, but he is a smart player, and also does his defensive work very well, I might be one of the few Arsenal fans who is looking forward to his return, I think he can do an excellent job on the right for us.

Rooney was terrible, if he had stayed on the bench England would have won easily.
