...today, in fact, if you follow this feed. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/26684674 Looks like they might show the whole game and having a bit of fun with it by asking people to tweet in about what they think 'might' happen I'm sure some people have never seen the game before - I think I've only seen it once - so could be a chance to see what winning a world cup is like. I doubt we'll be finding out for real any time soon...
Having been fortunate to watch the game live,it will bring back many memories. The lows when Germany scored first, the euphoria when we equalized and took the lead. The low again when Germany equalised and took us into extra time. Never to be forgotten when Hurst scored his hat trick. Great memories.
I remember it so well even though I was only 9 at the time. I remember when Hurst scored the fourth - I shouted "Hurst - bloody brilliant" and got a clip round the ear from my dad (R.I.P dad x) for swearing !!
Can't see it myself, the West Germans are too strong. Can't believe Jimmy Greaves isn't playing, don't rate Hurst personally
can i just say that baddiel and skinner were right when they said 'old football was rubbish'. big sam would be proud of the standard #hoof
i have to say, that lineman looks a bit dodgy to me. i doubt england will get any favours from him...
I can't believe FIFA have appointed Russian officials, they're bound to favour W> Germany in any contentious decisions!
anyone else think today should have been a public holiday? its tricky to work with the feed in the background
Technically, the Germans look a little ahead of us. Better at finding space, and less reliant on long balls. Whatever the outcome of this game, we're really going to need to start improving the technical abilities of players at a grassroots level.
