Tbh none of the midfield have looked good sofar this season with Sven tinkering with the tactics and playing them out of position, apart from Wellens and Abe, as their job hasn't been changed, and they are still sitting in front of the back 4

King is still behind the strikers though :S His role hasn't changed one bit.

I think King's role has changed a bit from last year. Last season he was part of the midfield 3 and he made his forward runs from deeper and he had the timings of those runs sorted well but now I think Sven's thought that King doesn't get involved enough in the game and put him further forward and closer to the front which means King can't make those runs from deep and go un-noticed until it's too late like last year. This season, he will always be in the eye-line of the centre-backs who will have an eye on him making those runs and a midfielder will also be more wary of King as he's nearer the goal and he has a reputation now as a goalscorer so teams in general will look to nulify King.

On the midfield as a whole, I hope Sven sticks with the diamond formation because it looks so much more fluid and has seen us play our best football so far this season. In that diamond, I think Wellens looks good at the base, orchastrating the play. Fernandes and Danns especially look good as the two 'wider' men who tuck in when we have the ball. The only question I would have is King. I think when Johnson finally gets fit, it would be King's place that would be most under threat I think.
