England v Wales Competition - Friendly Venue - Wembley Stadium Date - 8 October 2020 Kick off - 8pm Ryan Giggs’ Wales team takes on Gareth Southgate’s England in a friendly at Wembley tomorrow evening. As an aside, Swansea keeper Freddie Woodman is Southgate’s godson - ‘Nord’ was an apprentice at Crystal Palace alongside Freddie’s dad and the ‘chalk and cheese’ lads hit it off - even writing a book about their friendship ‘Woody and Nord’. The match is a warm-up before both sides are in Nations League action on 11th and 14th October, with England hosting Belgium and Denmark and Wales taking on the Republic of Ireland in Dublin and Bulgaria in Sofia. Wales will be without Gareth Bale as the on-loan Tottenham forward is carrying a knee injury. Additionally, Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey and West Bromwich Albion striker Hal Robson-Kanu are also missing from the squad. Southgate has given in-form Dominic Calvert-Lewis of Everton, Leicester City's Harvey Barnes and Arsenal's Bukayo Saka their first England call-ups. However, former Swan Tammy Abraham, Ben Chilwell and Jadon Sancho could miss the match after being told to stay away from St George's Park - it appears that they were among more than six people at Abraham's surprise 23rd birthday party on Saturday - breaking the Covid rules in England!
4-1 Wales - a Connor Roberts diving header and a perfect hat-trick for Joe Rodon despite having Harry Kane in his pocket ....
Depends how serious Giggsy takes it.....Southgate has lost loads of his better players due to injury and I mainly being naughty boys....Keifer Moore to score one of our goals and Wal3s to win
Anyone want Joe to have a nightmare so Spurs lose interest? They won’t watch Wales other games so he can resume normal service then.
If he has Kane in his pocket, his value could soar ..... Truth is the Yanks will sell, so get as much as possible (For the avoidance of doubt, I want to keep him)
