Starting early as discussion already seems under way on the Sweden thread. How confident do we all feel? Rooney back has to be a positive. Ukraine must be feeling the pressure so I'm hoping for another win!.

Ukraine are ****, doesn't matter about their support, we should win this easily. I expect a win, not hope for one.

Better than Ukraine - I know Ukraine beat them but that was down to Sweden screwing up, rather than Ukraine play better than them.

    Hart
    Johnson Terry Lescott Cole
    Gerrard Parker
    Walcott Rooney Chamberlain
    Welbeck..

That should blow them out the water.. 3 or 4-0

If I were a Ukraine fan, I'd fancy my chances, I really would. Easily win, when was the last time!

Ukraine have every chance. They know that a win will take them through and give them the best tournament performance in their history on home soil. We just about beat Sweden but so did they, and I am sure the whole country is currently planning how they will beat England. We're going to have to earn a win here, whereas France are playing a team already on the plane.

On the plus side, a fresh Rooney is going to be a massive addition. Speaking of which, I have just learnt what happens when you get a red card in an individual sport.

Hoping Hodgson drops the 4-4-1-1 for something a little more fluid. Walcott to start. We should do well.

Great Rooney's back, can't wait for another mediocre England performance from him.

Theo has slight hamstring sprain, early exit from training so looks like Milner to start again.

Are you really anticipating that with glee? Are you a Scot by any chance?

No I'd be happy to see Rooney never play for England again!

Can see us scoring first and going ultra-defensive afterwards, which will probably result in a 1-1 draw.

An early goal for us could be bad (not as bad as one for them of course), because I wouldn't like to watch England try and see out a 1.0. Concede one we could concede another. I shall go for a goal at 26 min, followed by a second just after half-time. England can then score their other goals whenever they like:cheesy:

Rooney has just been talking about the togetherness of the England squad. Have to say this bears out what other players have been saying. Gerrard said that it's easier to get what the managers wants as Roy speaks English! None have openly criticized Capello, but think they seem happier now. It's not essential to be happy, but it helps.
