Good start by England who opted to bowl first on a rain-affected day. Sri Lanka are 29 for 3 with just 17.3 overs bowled so far. The forecast does not look good for the next four days so taking that into account and the fact that England are again a bowler light, a draw seems most likely.
Another failure for Strauss with the bat. If he wasn't captain he would surely be worrying about his place in the side by now.
Looks like England will declare when they are around 200 runs ahead and hope to bowl Sri Lanka out in the remaining time weather permitting. I know it's unlikely but if Sri Lanka bludgeoned their way to 300 then bowled out England for 50 we'd draw the series. Would it not be prudent to bat for as long as possible thus guaranteeing a series victory?
