On paper this should be a text book England win.
However, the Scots will want to win this more than they even want to win the cup itself. They won’t care if they don’t win again as long as they can say to wee Jimmy Krankie that they dented the English cause.
Seriously worried. I still think we’ll win (hence my prediction) but it won’t be easy and I expect a few tough tackles to be flying.

What do you reckon then lads, I know it was a draw but I think we were pretty poor, we are supposed to be one of the favourites but if we continue to play like we did tonight we have got no chance.

Well watching England tonight was like watching city, backwards sideways, no intensity, no creativity, awful, FairPlay to the jocks

Shocking performance by England and even if they qualify this lot won't go much, if any, further.

It was more or less what I expected to be honest. A nervy affair.
My prediction was wrong - I thought we’d win 2-1 with the Scots scoring first, but the first goal never happened so the game stayed in ‘local derby’ mode.
Just need a draw against Kalas’s boys and we’re there.

England should play with three holding midfielders v the Czechs. That will finish off the paint (grey) drying.

Do you think Gareth Southgate would be that daring.

I agree with Frampton, it always reminds me of watching the City play.....creativity...... non existent.....
Kane was bloody dreadful, not for the first time....Pickford was our best player IMO...which says everything about our performance

I've agreed in the past with 1For about Kane being a tad overrated but honestly can't criticise him last night. The service to him was poor beyond belief, tbf Rashford looked equally inept when he replaced Kane.
I don't like 2 holding midfielders, ffs we're playing at home. I'd start Grealish, and play Foden ahead of Sterling (clear why Pep has dropped him lately).
I'd also give credit to Scotland how they played and in Tierney they have one special player.

I agree the service to Kane wasn't great, but he was so slow and lethargic it was embarrassing.......as for a captain rallying the players, that for me was non existent, is he supposed to be our Ronaldo?..<laugh><laugh><laugh>
I agree that Grealish, should have started and what was Southgate thinking by taking off Foden?.....
IMO. Two technically terrible teams on display last night, just don't ever look comfortable with the ball.

    Southgate set us u
Set up not to lose, it was a team without leaders and organisers, Slow, weak, predictable and non creative in midfield, 11 players playing as individuals, both wing backs were poor never adequately got forward enough (whereas the Scots wing backs did), any of this sound familiar?.

Sterling, Mount, Foden, Kane, Shaw and James were shocking and Rice and Phillips are far too similar, for me we are missing Henderson who is an organiser, which throws up another question if he is not fit why was he selected.

I disagree regarding some of the players you mentioned being shocking...Thought Mount was by far our best player and Foden should never had been subbed..bad setup & management IMO for this game, I don't believe we will be that bad in the next game.
Again IMO.....I just don't think British players are as comfortable on the ball as many of the overseas top class players.....that's to do with grass root coaching and players unable to express themselves...winning at all costs seems key in this Country

I would suggest that given that England only recorded one shot on target all game and our midfield was totally dominated by the Scottish midfield that included a young raw Mount team mate, my description of the midfield as a unit is accurate.

I agree that Mount's and Foden's performance is subjective and I agree that Sterling should have been the first off and then Kane.
