Tonight, it's make or break time for Woy's Boys, as they face the old World Cup Nemesis Poland at Wembley.

The maths are simple: Win and England are through to Brazil 2014. Anything else, and realistically it's a play-off place, seeing as Ukraine are playing San Marino.

Poland have a history of preventing our progress, when in 1973 we failed to secure the win at Wembley that would have taken us to Germany the following summer.

The latest gossip is that Carrick is in for Lampard, and either Jones or Smalling in for the suspended Walker, in a side retaining the attack-minded 4-2-3-1 formation that gained the impressive 4-1 victory over Montenegro on Friday night.

    Discuss away, chaps!

I see townsend is out so theres the main threat gone.

I see a not comfortable single goal win or a draw.

Shockingly unpatriotic as it would be to contemplate an inglorious draw or humiliating defeat, that would be "break" only in the sense of leading to a play-off we'd be seeded to win. Currently it is not so much "make or break" as "make, or make or break".

Anyway else bored at people calling RH 'Woy'? I get it, he's can't pronounce 'r'. FFS.

I hope the Townsend injury is referring to Andy Townsend. Can't stand his commentary.

    2-1 final result.

I think England will win easily this time around and tomorrow morning Col and the Sun will claim we can win it in Brazil... Truth is anyone could win it if they qualify

France , Remy hat trick past Cesar. Green drops ball at Remy's feet in semi's.

Only if the Spanish don't turn up. I'm still in awe of what they did to Italy in the Euro's.

super, I was going to put Agentina & Netherlands on that list, but then thought, Germany/Spain/Brazil would be too strong for Argentina

Belgium well worth an each-way flutter at 14/1 and Holland at 20/1...
