In my eyes Carroll isnt really england material. Is he getting a shout out because of the big transfer to liverpool or would he be on the bench if he had stayed in newcastle? Also it has been said how will a 4-3-3? In any England team I would pick I would want Gerrard and Lampard as central solid midfielders, chuck walcott and young on the wings and have a striker such as crouch with rooney supporting???
Antoher thing to add, a match like this shows off young talent and other options available to Cappelo, this could mean the usuall big names such as Gerrard could miss out to a younger side!?
That needs to start happening anyway, come 2014 Terry, Lamps, gerrard, rio etc will be mid 30s an if they do useless when at their peak, they'll be even worse when too old so the likes of wilshere, rooney, young, walcott, need time to get into the team and become regulars an the new formation will help that and help england perform
Do not agree. Carroll is way off the Pace. Young is Playing Well. Was Man of the Match against Wales. Downing also played well, and got tv Man of the Match. Not been a Fan of Him in the Past. But Credit where its Due.
