Bit early I know but i wont be able to comment while at work.

Anyways first point. Fat Frank is Captain. **** right off. He's 36 he's never going to play for England again why are we being nice to him. We have an opportunity to blood the future. Wilshere and Henderson or Wilshere and Milner.

There's no room for sentiment, who gives a **** about Franks feelings we move on.

Lampard can **** right off. Shouldn't even be in the squad in the first place.

Costa Rica will beat us if both teams play as they have so far.

We should start Wilshere, Barkley and Shaw.

    Agreed.

This is exactly what I meant when I started the Gerrard thread.

This game should be used as very valuable assessment of the young larkers playing in tournament conditions.

It might be a dead rubber for us but how often do these chances come along?

Just f**k off Woy and take Smalling with you.

Have to think he is fired if you leave Brazil with 0 points.

    He won't be.

He's a yes man. The FA love them. Keeping him is an easy option, which the FA always goes for.

That would/should be the case but the FA have basically stated that's what they expected. Can't really fire someone for doing what's expected of them?

If the FA expected us to go out with no points then I think they also need sacking off.

They do need sacking off anyway to be fair.

I heard on the radio that Woy wants to use the Costa Rica game to give everyone in the squad a game.

****ing knobbing ****ting bastard twatty ****er.

That attitude is the kind of numbskull knacking nonsense that got us in this mess in the first place.

    It's a World Cup game.

At worst it's tournament football to prepare for the Euro qualifiers.

Grow up man and start doing your job properly.

    Professionally.

    With intent.

    In a hard headed manner.

Pick a team based purely on footballing reasons.

Like other international football managers do.

You owe nobody nothing. Just pick the best sodding team.

I don't agree with Lampard starting for the reasons Chazz mentioned and I'm hoping Wilshere in particular will get a start.

However, let's not use it as an excuse to go on about how Hodgson should be sacked.

Chile, Holland and Spain have all picked weakened sides today. In fact it's almost always the case in a dead rubber game that managers will mess with the team. It makes perfect sense to give the youngsters a game.

A bit off topic but you can make some tidy returns on sticking a double on Croatia to qualify and any mixture of Italy/Uruguay to win group/finish bottom.

Holland played 8 of the team that played Australia, not really that weakened...

Same with Chile, they only made a couple of changes.

Their game wasn't dead rubber remember - the loser was likely going to play Brazil.

I didnt expect you to do really well, but I certainly expected you to have a chance to get out of the group. I mean we are a better team than Costa Rica.

They made multiple changes and rested key players (van Persie, Valdivia) even in a game that wasn't a total dead rubber as you say. Ours is a total dead rubber, picking the best team would be stupid. If nothing else, we can take away from this tournament a bit of experience for the likes of Shaw, Barkley, Wilshere, Oxlade.

    Van Persie was suspended.

    He would've very likely played.

Why didn't Woy do something about the situation down our left flank against Italy?

    Answer me that.

    Answer me.
