It's just been announced that England Under 21's will be playing at the Vic on then 1st September. There's a special offer for ST holders as well. It's great that the Vic is getting these international matches, but will the pich hold up? Maybe this is all part of Baz's plans to get the work re-started!! COYH
it's already been posted but yep, good enough news for it's own thread ... i've just realised i'll still be on holiday so can't be there...bummer!
it doesn't matter no need to apologise, it happens a lot on big news i'm not sure two international games will make a huge difference to the pitch...with Saracens still playing on it...
This game wont break the pitch you know! As for it being a money spinner, with tickets at £10 each and the FA getting first dibs ......... dream on! Azerbaijan, err which stand(s) do you think will be used?
It's just nice we have an international match at the Vic, albeit the U21s - but still some good names on the pitch. If they do a good enough job hosting, it might become a regular thing - and maybe they'll bring Sordell into the squad to boost the local interest!!
Ideal venue. Close to London, jogging distance from the hotel that they're likely to stay at, and they'll be under no illusions that their job is to win a football match rather than to enjoy the facilities. Finally, due to the shape of the stadium as much as anything else, the crowd will have to be earnt, something that will stand them in good stead for full England internationals!
I would love to watch this!! Did i read about a deal for ST holders?? I wonder if Dad is willing to fund a trip for us lol.
