Anyone just been watching the Under 21s? Just turned on for the last 15 mins and the scored in 90th minute to secure a 2-0 win over the two legs and go through to the Euro finals but at the final whistle all hell broke loose.

Looks like players were fighting and racist chanting was going on.

Wonder what UEFA will do, probably a token fine and swept under the carpet no doubt.

I heard they went after Pearce and his assistant in the tunnel! Rose got a red after smashing a ball into the crowd due to racist chanting. I think the blame should probably be put on Suarez. <ok>

It was mainly Serbian players throwing punches and kicks but some England players threw some punches. Sterling was in the middle of it but didn't see him get hit or throw any punches

Didn't really see what kicked it all off to be honest, but looked like the actual fighting was done more with the staff than the players. Racist comments looked like they were comming from the crowd - Rose did a monkey impersonation as he was walking off to the crowd which sort of implied they were making chants to him/the black players.

On another England related note - looks like game v Poland is going to be off due to waterlogged pitched. Decided to keep the roof open during a downpour instead of closing it <doh>

Dunno how to embed but the monkey noises clear to hear from this clip. Time for UEFA to stamp down on Serbia. They've had fines, lost matches 3-0 by forfeit and played behind closed doors and it obviously hasn't got through to them that they have to behave a certain way when watching football matches.

Ban them from the 2014 world cup qualifiers and the euro 2016 qualifiers.

Yup, it's simple. Ban the National team and maybe make the Under 21's and lower play behind close doors for the next few qualifying campaigns. Don't think the Under 19s, Under 17s etc should bepunished but banning the mens team seems to be the only way to get through to some people.

I'd love and hate if our team got punished. A one year ban to the team, a 3 year national ban for any players involved and that's that. I'd hate it because we have a talented young bunch. I suppose it's their own fault.

It's a shame because generally Partizans players were well behaved ad played well (Ninkovic) but its a trait that carries on generation to generation. Whatever we get we deserve - as long as there isn't too much collateral damage done to those who didn't take part.

Also media reporting that our coach has basically said it takes two to tango, that you started it with some provocation.

Bollocks I say. We're trying to pass the blame. We all hear the chants. I feel bad for Danny Rose, and I apologize on behalf of the sane Serbia fans.

You can kind of feel something heavy coming with this. Shame as Serbia and any of the old Yugoslavia countries have so much talent as well.

Do you think the show trial at The Hague had any bearing on the bad feeling amongst the home supporters danilo?

Most likely not, while all the trials there are show trials we're used to it. We don't traditionally like the English, they've sort of meddled in our affairs and it's just not a good vibe. It's odd because we absolutely love English people, but we generally dislike the country and your politics. The bad feeling has been permeating for about a year or two, since the 2010 WC, almost no games have gone on without some sort of issue or incident. It's all related to politics and international affairs of the state. That's why it happened today, something was going to burst and I'm sad young Danny had to bear the brunt of it.

It's ingrained into our system, the corruption and the violence lead to more corruption and violence, driving normal fans away. So the only ones that regularly go to matches are those thugs that were active in the 90's, and sheer boredom leads them to be "neo-nazi" like. Ask any one of them on the street whether or not they hate Danny Rose for being black and they'd say no. But put them together on the terraces and it leads to events like today. And it will happen again, and again, and again, and it will never stop thanks to the state of our football.

Poor football leads to corruption and corruption leads to poor football. It all ends up in violence and it's us, the fans, that suffer.

Hope Danny Rose hit his target with that shot into the crowd.

Disgusting behaviour really and it's a shame that these youngsters were subjected to it.

If we are honest then the same can/could have been said of English fans. There was a time when the National Front appeared to control English support - especially away from home. As you say they just drive 'decent' supporters away.
