We won on penalties after drawing 1-1 in real time. Looked strong and were generally better than the Dutch. Sims didn't play sadly.
Four great penalties, and a good save from our goalie too. Is it too late to get them to Brazil just in case?
Sims played in qualifiers and had some game time here. Looks small compared to others...perhaps needs to grow a bit more. Bless...at this level, the losers cry.
I was wondering if that was him, couldn't quite make it out on the grainy stream but guessed it was as he seemed to be blond haired and tiny compared to the rest of his relatively large teammates!
Not to take too much away from England but we were noticeably bigger and stronger which can help to cover a multitude of sins at this level. Having said that the players did keep the ball well, a few of lads showed good technique and they pressed well without the ball and deserved the win. Holland were not head and shoulders above us technically, but we were literally head and shoulders above them.
I was impressed with the technical skills of the England players...they kept winning 50:50 balls and getting away from tackles. Reminded me of Saints
Damn..! I missed that. When did it end..? On second thoughts, don't tell me as I might have been at home and was just doing something else. Would loved to have seen Josh win.
