Don't think our National team deserve it,but I use to love the Home Championship.

How really bloody useful - a gig against Scotland: just the tonic to help our wishy washy manager create a revolution in English football thinking and transform us from embarrassing hod carriers into sleek destruction machines.
Germany must be quacking in their boots

    ....sorry, did I say quacking
    I meant quaking of course...

Wonder if the team team will need their passports then? Is it September that Scotland vote for independence?

Instead of kidding ourselves, we should be more open to playing against the home nations. I'd like to see it become a bi-yearly fixture between tournament years.

England's problems are much deeper than simply playing top-quality opposition. England don't have a plan outside of "get good youth players". England need a philosophy, and they need to force it at all levels. Most importantly, they need to stop chucking any talented youngster into the squad, and to let them grow naturally in the U18/U21 sides before they are thrown into competitive matches.

It was great in the older days when we had the home nations every year, scrapped I believe because England went through a ****e period and got beaten so they took their ball and went home <laugh>

or maybe when we realised that the standard of football being dished up by the other 3 was agricultural at best.

England need to use our friendlies as an education process, and we won't learn anything from Scotland or the others.
Rather than bringing back the home internationals I would rather see us take in a short tour of South American countries.
