No Johno in it, instead the utterly amazing! Tom Cleverly has been selected

Just shows, only teams high in the prem are worth looking at for English talent!...

Edit: Another point, why on earth is there 4 keepers?! Surely 3 is more than enough, take another defender/midfielder surely!

He hasn't been called up because he doesn't play for Man Utd. Same goes for our Curtis Davies.

How the **** do Smalling and Cleverley keep getting called up? Do they have incriminating photos of Roy or something?

    It's a ****ing joke.

I hope this doesn't effect him on Sunday but rather acts as an incentive to stick two fingers up at Woy and make him angry enough to have a blinder. To be perfectly honest, his form currently should have at least got him a place in the squad but his form of the past 2 years has been awful and he cannot really blame anyone but himself that he is not already a part of this incredibly average England squad.

The fact it has the likes of Welbeck, Cleverly and Carrick (and all 3 have been utterly ****e this season) from a stuttering Man Utd team tells us all that the big club bias is still alive and well though and only further reinforces my complete indifference at the England Team set up. I couldn't give a **** how far they get this summer as England will be dour, boring, technically inept and a drag on the quality of the tournament. I dont think we will get beyond the group stages and the FA will be looking for a new England coach in the summer as Woeful Woy is massively out of his depth already.

    Just taken this from twitter...

Adam Johnson: 7 goals, 3 assists
Cleverley, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Milner, Townsend COMBINED: 5 goals, 2 assists (EPL).

Nothing like some stats ey Woy!

Its a shocker. Carrick, Cleverley, Milner, Townsend, Lampard, Defoe, Cole, Smalling, Caulker etc etc etc either playing utter sh!te this season or not playing much at all. Its embarrassing. Dull as dishwater. If I was Johnson I would be embarassed I am not in that squad. In fact if I was Colback and Cattermole I would look at who has been picked and think how were they not in. You are right, we will be embarrassed by Uruguay and Italy in the group stages and be on the way home by the end of the second match.

Glad for henderson though. He is playing well this season.

@SAFCsource from an NUFC fan its a joke he and Colback aren't in that squad. I really rate Colback and Johnson is in better form than most.

Hodgson says door not closed on anyone for Brazil. 'Keeping an eye' on Carroll. Says competition for wide places meant Adam Johnson left out

Great to see three left-backs in the squad too. Just in case of two of them get injured during that one game against Denmark.

    WhoScored.com ‏@WhoScored 21m
Jermain Defoe: Has scored just 2 goals from 49 shots in his 28 Premier League appearances since the start of 2013 #ENG

    The FA ‏@FA 1m
Roy also says the door is still very much open to the likes of Andy Carroll, Adam Johnson and Gareth Barry, who miss out this time.

Cleverly, Ruddy, Smalling & Welbeck are joke picks.

Even Defoe, more or less about to retire in Canada shouldn't realistically be considered, as he won't be playing top level football.

Big fan of Milner that I am, again, how is that justified, based on current season & form.

**** you Roy, said all the right things, got me onside, and then picked this squad, which is the basis for our failed World Cup attempt.

    ****er.

The lack of central midfield experimentation is shocking and scary. Caulker and Smalling only?! No Dawson? Hell, even Curtis Davis should get a try. Jagielka is crock so give a few guys a tryout with Smalling (who MUST have pics on Roy).
Cleverly is a complete joke, Defoe is winding down (although, I think he's pretty lethal in the 18 yard box), Fat Frank offers nothing other than a speculative 30 yarder and lots of backpassing, Townsend was just a kick up the arse for the defensive play we demonstrated and has not proved anything at team level since, and Ashley Cole is (and always was) a ****.

Glad for the Southampton lads, Hendo, and Caulker, and hope Baines pushes for a permanent LB position as of now.

I hope Johnson scores a hat trick on Sunday, just to spite Roy.

I'd rather he scored 5, City can easily score 3.

If I was Johnson and he plays a blinder on Sunday, scores/assists and we win

And Hodgie rings him up asking him to be in the squad for the WC, id personally tell him to piss off for this snub

At least half the England team will be fresh from not actually playing for their "fashionable" clubs

This is why england is rubbish. The same dross is is called up time and time again, and they never deliver, and are still given call ups.

Form players are never considered and once your out of the main group, your never getting back in, ever. Even if you win the european golden boot and are the only englishman ever to have won it.

Feel really sorry for Johno, he's been fantastic for us these last couple of months and deserved a call up, buy Woy has been a cock a missed out of a top player IMO

Shout out to Huddlestone too, hes been great this year and also deserved a call up

Shocking from england as usual, but i dont know why i expected any different
