Everything on here and all QPR related sites seem to be fast asleap!. Is England on a week's booze up in Spring each and every year for some royal milestone? A hell of a lot a people are on strike here in Norway, and are this time every year, so I suppose it's just a different way of finding a good excuse for a long party when summer is supposed to be here, but ain't! And Europe is going bankrupt!

There's not exactly much footie to post about at present, even the rumour mills are hard-pressed to find worthwhile gossip. It's been a quiet sporting weekend all over. What are you lot striking about?...

Workers employed by the state and in local areas, are striking for more money both now and with guarantees for the next years I believe. Police, security guards at the airport, schools, nurseries, homes for the elderly, transport of petrol, tax offices and all sorts are involved / impacted.

We've got the same sort of thing here on and off. This is the third year of a wage freeze in the public sector and changes to pension schemes are the latest excuse for strikes. I took a redundancy/retirement package in March as it suited me but I know a lot of people I worked with were not so fortunate with their forced redundancies. Hard times indeed...
