Think with Henderson back, DD might miss the cut, even though he deserves to go over Henderson.

Woy is nervous ... in Henderson and Wlishire he has 2 sicknotes not guaranteed to see the tournament through ... on MOTD last night both Shearer and Danny Murphy commented that Drinkwater deserved to go in precedence to players that have been out with injury .. no way that Woy hasn't heard that .. he also knows that Fat Boy Dim is another injury risk ...

Of the 3 to drop out I'll be amazed if Rashford isn't one ... which means, relistically, that DD needs to be ahead of 2 others ... for me he undoubtedly is ... Milner offers nothing more than experience and versatility (the latter somewhat qustionable now with his age - e.g he'd get rinsed at full-back) ... we can't afford 2 sick notes and Jordan Hednderson is not as talented as Wishire ... he has also not played anywhere near Danny Drinkwater's standards this season ...

Just my thoughts of course ...

It is a disgrace that players that haven't played or played poorly can get into the squad purely for commercial reasons over players that actually did something.

Noble, Defoe and Scott Dann should have been called up imho.

Looking at those midfield options, only Alli and possibly Dier should be ahead of Drinkwater. They're all different types of player too. Henderson, Milner, Delph, Wilshere and Lallana (not sure if I've missed any out) all deserve to be dropped before Drinkwater. They're all either injured too much, too old, or play for **** clubs. Seriously, why are there so many Liverpool players in this squad? He may be inexperienced, but how can you not take the guy who's played virtually all season for the title winning team? Simpson and Albrighton should be there as well after the seasons they've had, Albrighton especially considering the pitiful excuses for wingers we have.

    My thoughts aswell

Rashford, Delph and Wilshere should drop out

None have played enough to deserve a call up

I'd also be worried about Sturridge, Delph, Henderson and Wishire (perhaps even Rooney) in the same squad in terms of whether these guys are fit (robust) enough to see the tournament through? ... have a sneaky suspicion that participation in pre-tornament friendlies may well save Woy from having to make a couple of 'difficult' decisions ... Sturridge and Wishire being the two most vulnerable in that regard IMHO ...

Its the big club syndrome again though

Rashford has been called up because they play for Man U

Same as Jesse Lingard a few months back

He hasn't picked Walcott because he hasn't played enough this season & has injury concerns but has selected Henderson & Wilshere...

Well unless Rashford, Delph and Wilshere miss out, I shall find myself supporting Vardy and Drinkwater (should they survive the cut, it wouldn't surprise me if Woy keeps Rashford ahead of Vardy) but not supporting England

Surely DD will get the nod over Delph

He will, DD should be starting. I can't believe Delph is there and have no idea why Henderson is either. I think Milner has had a hell of a season though (don't understand the criticism thats going his way at all) and in my mind he'd be his closest competitor to play alongside Dier with Alli ahead of them.

I do have a feeling he'll play Alli and Dier with Rooney ahead of them which would be a mistake imo.

Oh yeah, Delph certainly won't make the cut, hes not one of the best attacking or defending midfielders we have.

Theres only 7 defenders, the 3 cuts will come from midfield, or possibly Rashford and 2 midflielders.

With Dier and Henderson in the squad, is he going to want to cut another defensive midfielder?

Even though it should be clear as day that DD has played 99% of the matches this year in a team thats won the league, Woys one of those managers who would rather take a player thats an injury concern, that has only just come back from injury, whos played less than half the season, in a team who finished 8th ... because ... Liverpool.

I still don't have confidence that the man will play Vardy down the middle, why should i trust him to make the right decision with team/squad selections?

The only midfield player named in the squad that should be in front of DD is Ali - and he is such a petulant little **** who cant handle being wound up. Milner has had one of his best seasons, whilst Henderson, Delph and Lallana have either been injured or inconsistent at best. This said, I really expect Roy to bottle it and leave DD out of the 23 and also to play Kane in front of Vardy.

.. my fear too ... just hoping his recent "... let's do a Leicester" won't be followed by a contradictory line-up ... also thinks Vards needs Drinky in the midfield to counter the usual crab (sideways) merchants ...

Woy should have done the honorable thing and resigned after the last WC ! he proved then that he will only pick players from glamour clubs.
DD will not be given a fair chance, and I can see Vardy playing 2nd fiddle to fat boy dim and glamour boy Kane.I am sorry to sound despondent but I just
can't see us doing anything with Woy in charge! and if Vardy and DD are not playing I hope Wales wallop us, If only to get rid of the dinosaur

Would be awesome to potentially see Drinkwater and King battling each other in opposing midfields when England play Wales, hope it never happens in domestic football though!
