Smalling for Cakhill, Vardy for Sturridge, and Lingard for Townshend
Makes it sound like we have options don' it

Once Tammy got the U21 call up, it was pretty certain that Rashford would get the full call up- To be fair, most of us would pick a fairly similar side, mostly through lack of options-Would it rally matter who was England manager. Any of us could probably manage out way through what is a pretty weak qualifying group

Utter rubbish from England, no pace, no penetration, just Rooney spraying 20-40 yard passes left to right for the TV cameras that achieved nothing. Exactly as per the Euros, England get to the edge of the box and run out of ideas, so go backwards. Nobody prepared to have a shot from distance, very very poor and nothing there to frighten any team, even Scotland.

    Crap from England.

Hogg was the best player on the pitch last night - gave his all for Malta with some excellent saves.
I wonder if he is looking for a club........? ;)

People will always criticise, but it was the coaches tactics that dictated England played one up front, and defensive (Rooney did not enter the box) midfield players v a side playing a ultra defensive narrow 5 - 4 - 1.
