I reckon we'll get to the final and then we face New Zealand - Ben Foden, Tom Wood, CHris Ashton, Dylan Hartley and Courtney Lawes all score a try - but still lose :'(

I care, can't wait...I love the days when its rugby, football, rugby - few mates, few pints (especially when all goes well!)

As it is, we could be going out in the 2nd round IMO. France COULD get spanked by New Zealand and knock their confidence, OR give them the boot up their arse they need...This is how I map it out (with a healthy dose of optimism of course)...

Win the group (Ashton top try scorer, and wor Johnny leading the points)
QF: Play France, beat them in a tough game, all about the kicking and the sheer determination of the packs (which wor Johnny and a resurgent Steve Thompson dominate respectively).
SF: Play Australia after they beat Wales. We win by the narrowest of margins - Aussies call foul play after a try is dissallowed for a toe in touch (England say its karma from the '07 final)
FINAL: Play South Africa after New Zealand throw it all away in their own semi to the Springboks. And we avenge our '07 robbery. Johnson runs onto the pitch as if he's one of the lads again - England become world champions and fly back up the rankings!

Swan dive into the corner so there can be no question of being in touch!

You're all deluded. Wales to win, plain and simple. George North proving he is the ultimate in a winger, Tim Phillips showing a scrum half can be a prop, and Adam Jones showing the world that hair is the only way to win in international sport...

Who's hair is better. Colos or Adam Jones'?

Also Foden and Ashton destroy your wingers/full backs.

Northampton for Heineken Cup Glory this year?

Adams' is longer and thicker, Collo's is a nicer colour.

Foden is over-rated (imo) and Ashton only does well when he gets offloads from the centre's. Jamie Roberts and Hook will stop that, so he'll be out ofthe game, while North, Williams, Halfpenny etc. will destroy the English pack with their pace.

Good win for Northampton today, but Gloucs will be mad about missing that conversion.

I'm afraid I can't see you getting passed the QFs...Finishing behind SA in the group and going out to the Aussies in the 2nd round is what any smart money would be going on.

Bok's are awful atm, got slaughtered in the tri-nations.Shouldn't be a problem winning the group, then a much easier route to the SF's, when the A-Game will come out.

I didn't watch the game. Ryan Lamb scored a last minute penalty against his last club <laugh>

I don't play rugby but I like to watch it whenever I can.

I really fancy England to win it, Aussies aren't at their best, Saffers off form and Kiwis will choke.

I like watching the world cup. A lad from work has actually taken a month off to go over for it, love loyalty like that!
