http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21457570 England have moved up to fourth in the Fifa world rankings following last week's 2-1 friendly win over Brazil. The victory at Wembley was enough to move Roy Hodgson's side up two places, while world and European champions Spain remain in top spot. What a pile of steaming horse manure. Who gives a damn about a meaningless friendly. We are suppose to be 4th best in the world, really? Even the staunchest of England supporters would say that this team has little or no chance of winning the World or Euro. Just off the top of my head i would say that, Spain, Holland, Germany, Argentina, Brazil and Italy are all better than us. They can put these meaningless tags around the England team but we all know how good this team really is....
This is the top 20 FIFA rankings, mmmmm. Who was it who thought these ratings reflect how good a team actually is? Brazil is there because they haven't played many competitive games. They automatically qualify for their own tournament.
Just looking at the quality of the teams, i would place Spain, Germany, Holland, Argentina and Brazil (they have their least talented team in years) as my top 5 and in that order.
Not sure Holland deserve to be in the top five. They do not deserve that position after their horror show in Euro 2012. So would replace Holland for Italy.
I think I have suppressed memories of the Euros due to my liking of Holland, all i can remember is the World cup....
I would say Colombia, Uruguay, Argentina, and Brazil are all better than us. Same with Italy, Germany, Spain, and Holland. We're on a level with teams like Belgium, Portugal, France, and Russia.
They have some damn good players. Fredy Guarin, James Rodriguez, Pablo Armero and last but not least, Radamel Falcao.
Yep, they are a team to watch in Brazil 2014. Everyone knows about Falcao, but Rodriguez is also a quality player, and people will take more notice of him once he leaves Portugal.
