The story of the bookies and it would seem nations favourite for THE job, has gone a tad chilly of late.

Could it be that the FA have not bought into all things Arry, or has Arry gone off the job? After the initial clamour, and one I readily subscribed too, for dodgy car salesman, attentions are turning to alternatives.
Pearce? Wenger? Jose? Even the Catalan King has been mentioned.

However, the more I think about it, the more and more one candidate fits the bill.

He is out of contract in the summer so no compensation to pay unlike the reported £10m for Arry. He already has successful international team experience and tournament football experience behind him and has a wealth of knowledge and tactical know how to boot. He also won't hog the front pages so much and always comes across as a reasonable and very affable bloke of the people.

Roy Hodgson for me now and I'd have him involved ASAP. It's the obvious choice for me.

It's a long shot, but they couldn't go far wrong in David Moyes.............

Its going to be Harry Redknapp no question.

Ok one question, if Harry turns it down? I think they'd look to Hodgson and I can't see him turning the England job down to stay at WBA.

I would have Hodgson over Saggy chops any day.
Hodgson is the better manager and is better tactically.

Arry's idea of team management is, if a player doesn't fit into the team replace him.
Not change the way you play.
Arry relies too much on individuals and not enough on the team as a whole.

Think HR will take the job but if not,
Think Hodgson, although a good manager, is a bit like (apologies for the next bit) Wilko. A cure for insomniacs.
Give it to Pardew. Highest placed English manager and more importantly for Lancaster gate a YES man. Whatever our feelings for the scumbags up the road he has done a good job.
    Gareth Southgate for the future

As long as he is ENGLISH.

    Pardew a yes man? <laugh> <doh>

Llambias has done an interview in which he says him and Pardew have rows and arguments over the running of the club regularly.

Steve Bruce was a contender, till he went to the press complaining that English people persecuted him for being English....

I dont care if they are English or not, as long as we go into tournaments and look like we can win it with guts and determination and just decent performances.

I say Mourinho if he will come.

if not i dont care, but Woy and arry scare the crap out of me, I cant even see us getting out the group stages. (qualifying)

Reading betwen the lines, I would now say that Roy Hodgson is probably favourite for the job. In my opinion, Harry's alleged previous dodgy dealings might be too much for the FA to deal with.

As it stands now Reg, it wouldn't bother me if Psycho was left in charge.

Hodgson would slip nicely into the present setup so that would leave Pearce as his assistant. Would not say no to Wenger first though.
