Wasn't there a time when the kits were launched after a tournament, and were used in the next qualifying campaign and the tournament that followed it, rather than this recent trend to change the kits just before a tournament?

It's a joke. I'm not buying my lad the new one.

    He's got the new(now old)one and the
one from the South Africa World Cup still fits him.

Balls to spending £45 on a shirt that will be £6 in less than a year.

I didn't mind the England kit. The only thing I didn't like was that awful goalkeeper's kit. Everytime I watched, I felt sorry for Joe Hart

I'm more concerned as to why Ricardo was on the CBBC website to find this story in the first place. <laugh>

The BBC Sport homepage links to it. Makes me wonder though if they're working together more closely is the new design for the Sport site the winner of a Blue Peter competition?

I think that was the BBC 2012 site, that's made the same way as a paella, just throw everything in and hope it comes out alright.

I stopped supporting England under McLaren and haven't gone back, i get mildly interested during tournaments but nothing like I used to, I have no affinity with any of the players in the squad and lets face it the majority of England fans are either muppets or fair weather fans who have no clue what's going on. My life is so much more enjoyable during major tournaments now that I don't give a **** about the English football team, you should try it, then outrageous **** like this makes you chuckle

I don't even bother watching England. But I will do when a City player makes the team.

I always watch and support England. I think we will do very well at the up and coming Euros so long as 'arry doesn't make the age old mistake of trying to pick Lampard and Gerrard in the same team!

Nice to see how many posters on here will be abandoning City if get relegated.

You pick your team, you stick with them through thick and thin.

Despite all the kit changes, Umbro make no money out of the England kit deal, it costs them so much to sponsor the team that it's not possible for them to turn a profit.

Not bought an England shirt since the world cup in 2006. Too expensive and it seems cheeky of them to be changing it again.

It's a good job. It's the worst shirt we've ever had. Designed by some topman designer who probably wears skinny jeans and a ridiculous hair style

The last two have been very minimal. I can see the next one having some retro style red and blue trim.

I'd insert an image if I could but something like the Admiral one with a thick red and blue stripe on the arm. The pre '82 World Cup one.

For some reason it's different with national teams, it's OK to irrationally hate every player on your team and have total bias against them at all times even though most fans have bias for their club.

I thought they always changed England kits around St. George's day, and rotated between changing home kit one year and away kit the next. So if we were getting a new home kit in the next couple of months it should have been out since this time in 2010, before the last WC. Is that not what they've done?
