I been watching England last 2 matches, All the players looked tired to me! I think they are in for a hard world cup. inless Rooney can do some magic and wake up! alot of pressure is on young sterling to deliver. and Barkley, which he is looking really good at the moment, He would better in number 10 shirt, more than Rooney,Maybe ? behind sturridge:shocked:

Don't mention this on the Utd board like I've already done, one of their posters can't handle it <laugh>

If Suarez and Cavani are on form, England get ko'd at the group stage for me based on the fact that Hodgson will pick on reputation rather than form.

I actually think England will draw all 3 games.

They'll surely progress from the group, depending on who they meet, will have an ok chance to reach the last 8, and that's it...

no chance of actually winning it but i hope they do well. They look weak at the back from what i have seen in the last 3 games but you have to take into account what these last 3 games were about and hope when the real stuff starts they will up tempo. the same goes for all the sides who played warm up games who were all holding back for fear of injury. I think we will see a much better performance from England next week but i don't see them being good enough to win the WC. quarter finalist is my bet...

No I haven't, but national teams often do a lot of physical training before major tournaments, resulting in the players being/looking tired on the pitch in the friendlies...

Not Metth by any chance? <laugh>

Edit: Just saw the thread, and if I could have had a 2nd guess it would have been UIR!

Anyway: I've got a feeling Englands game vs Honduras is going to be indicative of the tournament as a whole. Hot conditions don't usually make for good matches.

If they get out of the group stage I will run naked through the not606 forum. I think they will lose to Italy and Uruguay so that will give them a maximum three points. TBH in the heat I can see Costa Rica getting a draw, so I will predict that England will get 1 point.

They may get out of the group but not much further imo. Hope they do well to be honest and there is absolutely no weight of expectation this time. They have some top players and I see no reason why they shouldn't do OK.

Makes me smile that some posters (not on this thread) think it's OK to be fiercely proud of supporting Wales or anything Welsh but when an Englishman expresses the same view about his country or team he's "arrogant". They have a right to be patriotic too and at least they're there which is more than can be said for our pathetic effort.

Difference is Dragon, they ram it down our throats at every given time through the media. Every game that is shown in the World Cup will be dominated by English coverage, sooner they get ko'd the better.

That said a World Cup without England wouldn't feel right either.

They may scrape out of the group but won't get very far either way. I bet they'd sell their souls to have the team from "Italia 90" now.
