Only one player on the list with anything like captain status, Terry, and that is only if he stays in the squad.

Other countries follow one if three rules for picking a cpt
1. Best player
2. Biggest "name" (ie the most famous player)
3. Most caps

so if England were to follow these and stop worrying about the cpt as some kind of thing, it would be

1. Struggling for this one.
2. Rooney (bugger)
3. Rooney (damn!)

Well that doesn't work either. Back to the drawing board
