England call ups?

SSN just confirmed that Jonjo Shelvey is to be called up to the England aqua in place if injured Frank Lampard.

Oh, and guess who he plays for like the rest of the England squad...LIVERPOOL!

Does Hodgson not look anywhere else but his former team...!

That really doers say it all. Shelvey has done nothing to justify an England call up apart from getting sent off in Europe! What a joke!
 
Running a bit on Sky at the moment about St George's Park, the new England football centre. Looks great, though any effect on England results is considered to be years down the line. Teams at all age groups will be based there. Shame Clyne is injured.
 
Good, lets keep this squad together, get the defenders in every day till they are telephathic & at one with each other. Then, in two weeks time, come out & show the world that we have the tightest meanest defense in Europe! Can I get a halleluja!

Before the Fulham game, Ricky said he didn't know what he'd be doing on his time off during the international break. Judging by Nigel's comments when this issue was raised after the game, the team will be in every day.

Trouble is they will struggle to work on the defence as most of them are either ruddy injured or away, Fox is with Scotland and Maya with Japan!
 
Screw Japan, he can bloody well work on some of his distribution! I know he was drafted, but some of the balls played us into blatant trouble. Out of everybody, I felt most sorry for Paulo. I wouldn't be very comfortable in goal, in the premier with these guys protecting me. He did well.
(rant over, sorry got a bad head today)

Agree with that. First proper look at Gazza and I think he will be one hell of a keeper. Distribution was excellent and was mentioned more than once in the commentray. Can't be faulted for either goal. I was very impressed.

Oh come on History, let's not let one shaky performance by a player out of position get to us. Yoshida has looked go so far, yesterday apart. Show some solidarity and get behind him.
