Just seen this. Has to be a reasonabler chance Adam gets a call but not confident Rickie will. My guess is Crouch would be in before him. I know we've discussed this before but if you were Roy would they get the nod?

Can't see Lambert getting called up at all, Lallana I'm not so sure on either this time

How far away is JWP from the squad? Can't be far if Sterling is in/around it.

Think if was playing for one of the top 6 he'd be getting shouted about. My guess is if he stays a regular for us he'll be knocking loudly at the door next year.

Carroll is set to be called up which is just ****ing ludicrous. He's been injured for a month or so for a start and he's totally ignoring Lambert which is just a joke.

Yep totally agree. Personally if not Rickie I would prefer Crouch even if Carroll was fit. Crouch has excellent ball control for a big man!

Lambert won't get picked. But he should get picked. Same for Crouch. Should both be in the squad.

Crouch should be a must pick every time by his record. It's laughable Carroll is within a million miles of the squad

Crouch has been banging in the goals as well. He must wonder what he has to do!

Not expecting either to be in. Lallana was an afterthought because of injuries. They would stand a better chance if we were soaring at the moment.

Not sure that's true Fran. Think if you are not London based or from a top 6 side you always struggle. Beattie, Le God etc are all good examples.

I hope Hodgson shows some practical common sense and picks players more than just on mere reputation. Agree with people's opinions about Carroll. In the right team and being fully integrated, he could be a tremendous asset. Don't know what it is with him at present? Attitude? Lifestyle? Injury? Other issues?

As for Rickie he merits a place because there are not many forwards better than him available for England at the present. Defoe, Rooney, Welbeck! Then we are struggling to see who is better than Rickie at the moment. Did Crouch put himself out with his reply to Hodgson just before the Euros?? However, if he takes a leaf out of KPs book then perhaps he can get back in!! Does Godders' use the KP approach every time when he has an officious steward?

    Neither will get called up.

Hodgeson will continue to pick on Liverpool and pick the likes of Kelly, Henderson, Carroll etc before he gem considers Lambert.

    Bloody joke!

Its a shame that England do not think it is better to pick players playing well for smaller clubs like Crouch and Rickie, but go for players not playing or can only get on the bench like Welbeck. Is there anyone playing better in the premiership than Lallana on the the left side ? yet the position will go to a big name player who will have to play out of position like Milner which is a joke. I would play Ince before Milner every day of the week (both son and father that is)

I think the international ship has sailed for Crouch after he turned down a standby slot for Euro 2012, which was silly.

I would love to see a time where someone in a challenge could pick a team to play against our England team. The likes of Lambert would enjoy showing how much more he has to offer.

In answer to your question yes if I was Roy I would pick Rickie. So many times we have failed with the big names yet we still keep seeing them being selected.
