How did everyone feel about England's performance in the Euros against France? It was obviously very hot, and I thought we played the short pass and move game pretty well. Its the first time for a long time that I have not felt uncomfortable watching an England game waiting for disaster to strike. The two defensive lines worked well together and the breaks aways looked promising. The only time England looked vulnerable was 10 minutes or so before France scored when the England defenders forgot the plot; started hacking the ball anywhere upfield and falling back too deeply. Wellbeck was first class. Joe Hart was a faircopy of flapper Phillips on the night; a game that is just as well behind him. He is better than that! Generally I thought that every one played pretty well and the outlook is promising.
Generally played quite well and look a solid unit at the back. We should have enough to see off Sweden and a draw with Ukraine will do nicely.
Wasn't too bad considering we are ****. I think we will need to be more attack minded against Sweden and Ukraine though in order to progress.
Apparently England are delusional... "England are too "predictable" and "stereotyped" to beat Sweden on Friday", according to their opponents' former skipper Jonas Thern.... Erm, Sweden will lose about 3-0 to England if they play like the did against the Ukraine
So how about the game against Sweden. First half we continue where we left off, only much more fluid in an attacking role. A good dominant performance. Second half, back to the usual squitters.
