Looking at fixtures I can see us getting about 23 points giving us 44 points in total. Leaving us 21/22

What's everyone else's end of season predictions?

One from bottom as it stands, quality arrives then we could pull away.

just been reading about Bolton ... they need a miracle ... they could drop to 5 points !
the "form of this division is so erratic that it is impossible to do a " Horace type predictor" last 4 seasons it had worked pretty well..best way is to put the numbers 23 -18 in a hat and pick one ...hang on I will just do that... right ................ OH S***e 23

We also need a miracle as things stand, and there are a lot of bad habits we need to cure VERY QUICKLY to even have a sniff of surviving the drop. These include stopping conceding last minute/stoppage time goals, and actually getting a few shots on target during the course of a game for starters.

On the assumption the SC has a wants list and has passed it on to one of the faceless few, it still remains to be seen whether anyone will actually want to join a relegation fight which may well go all the way through to May, and that has no guarantee of us getting out of this bleeding mess we've made off of our own backs.

We're in the relegation zone on goal difference; we certainly do not need a miracle, and not a Bolton-esque miracle at that.

IF we get 2/3 decent signings I am 99% confident we will avoid the drop. If we don't... well let's worry about that in February.

IF....and its a big if......we get this transfer window right, we will just manage to stay up. Get it wrong and I just can't see where the passion, the fight, the belief is in this squad. I do fear the worst, but will gladly take abuse of everyone on here if I am wrong :)

Bolton are almost certain to be relegated, and will be certainties if they are hit with any points deduction, or if the enter administration.

We have to date been incapable of winning more than once every 6 or so games to date, so sorry, we do need a miracle in terms of our win rate and the average points per game we're getting.

The teams around us such as Huddersfield and MK Dons are winning more frequently than we are, and are also putting in better performances week in week out from the many reports I've seen.

As I said, we need a massive turnaround in our results and performances between now and May and the clock is already ticking, while other clubs such as Charlton are bolstering their squads having found themselves in a position similar to ours.

I firmly believe that 3 of the 5 teams in 20th - 24th places in this division currently will be there at the end of the season.

Only the finishing order is unknown at present.

Well in reality, we are roughly half way through the season and are in the relegation zone on goal difference. Are you telling me it would be a miracle if we managed to match our first half record + 1 point? Over the balance of probabilities this would theoretically give us a +50% chance of being safe. Of course it's not a miracle we need, but absolutely we do need improvement.

I just think teams around us will strengthen and will start to get better results. It will also depend on what the points total needed to survive is.

MKD have lost one of their "stars" however ..... points needed? check out last 5 seasons in brace yourself thread, likely to be around 44 - 45 points so must do a lot better need 6 wins 6 draws and 9 losses from remaining fixtures

Which at this moment in time, and with the existing squad, is unlikely to happen.

I can't see us surviving. We have a soft underbelly, inability to get shots on target and a losing mentality.

We will have one of the nicest stadia in League 1 though.....
