It s a strange thing that COVID is doing to the human race … it is teaching us some very basic things about the human race ! We shall never know if had we kept playin without a 3 month break would our form have lifted? Would we have got a point against BBurn and a win against Sheffield? At the other end of the table there is some interesting results [ depleted through injury squads showing a resurgence ]… and likely that MIDDS would not have had Warnock! On our forum the knives have come out for LJ … 2 GAMES 2 LOSSES … this is no longer a continuation of the season it is a mini tournament, a stand alone set of 9 games win 3 lose 3 draw 3 12 points. It would not be enough TO GET TOP 6 but would show we are getting more settled in as an above average team ...top 8! Many things have been said over the past 3 months [ pre covid ] including an insinuation by LEE [ WHICH NONE OF US COULD ACTUALLY FATHOM ] about putting it simply as to many fingers in the pie! …. some theories put forward were feasible, but the general thoughts [ in my case] were LEE has a plan … so does the other 2 or 3 coach's [ LEE is head coach ] midfield group have there agenda and defense theirs etc If the various groups are not coming to the table with the "master mind plan" but their own stratedgy then it will be like oil on water ..floating around in its own globules …. if to much thought goes into body/weight/mass how their lungs expand..blood count whether they can do a hundred in 12 secs then repat again 2 mins later etc then maybe the best skilled is not on the pitch at the right time! [start] ….. if we finish with 13 -14 points I will be happy ...ANYMORE ECSTATIC ….
2 games? it's 9 games without a win, performances getting worse, excuses getting worse, team selection getting worse, formation and tactics getting worse, substitutions getting worse, midfield getting worse, chances created getting worse. What can you say about a manager who at 1-2 down with 2 + 6 minutes to go brings on a right back in exchange for another right back? and one that hasn't played for us for 2 years. Yep loads to cheer us up there I would say.
please read the content, the article has has separated pre covid from the 9 games .. we are not playing regular season football now we are in a mini league which will be [is being] added to points gained in regular season …… Well had one choice to bring on, Palmer ...take off Wells or Smith ! Both doing a good job or take off one of the 3 already subbed!!! or hunt who had done quite a bit for vyner who is back in the fold and would get 8-10 minutes on the pitch and not upset the mid field attack [ bearing in mind probably one of the better players been substituted at same time ] I think the move was good ..... fresh keen defender and attack /midfield allowed to try for the equaliser! ..a coin has a head and a tail … it came down heads and we lost 2-1 had it been tails who knows? you would not be so bitter had the move paid off and we drew 2-2 or even won 3 -2! bet you would be negative if palmer had come on and we lost 3-1! or still it was 2-1 !!!
I will come back to the bitter comment, all your excuses about Johnson contain a lot of the IF word as I said before 'IF my granny had bollox, she would have been my granddad', we never drew, we never won and Palmer was never brought on so that's 3 IF's summarily dismissed. I would have happier knowing that Johnson had tried to gain a result and losing 1-3 than what he did which was utter nonsense. As for bitter you bet ya, 3 full seasons, 3 groundhog day seasons and more quality players signed that Johnson has managed to alienate. I would say he has now definitely lost the vast majority of the fans, but I am minded by an old military saying "oh look at my boy out there on the parade ground, he is the only one that is in step"
I used "if" once not 3 or more times " and how come we never drew … we never won " = 3 if's? . your opinion is that by bringing Palmer on we could have won or drew … on the other hand you do not know at the "moment in time" before the substitution takes place whether you[ manager /coach] will influence a lose draw or win! you also do not know if you will concede another goal and maybe even 2 ......it has been done before …….. You are lucky to have hindsight and no responsibility for the consequence … the positives are there ..we didn't lose by more, didn't lose anything by playing Vyner IN FACT WAS A PLUS … he got game time and Hunt didn't get injured I tend to read the article, do research if necessary /possible then place a reply in context... check back on my articles, I rarely use "if" "if" or "IF" …it is a commonly used word, but what exactly does it infer / mean / apply to ? [ it is a conjunction, a supposition, a noun ]. the comment about your granny, not at all likely, [ why ? ] and I hope your lad was able to get back out of step! cant really say I put forward a lot of excuses for Lee and certainly not in keeping with the word "if" i tend to use the conjunction, supposition or synonym equivalent
