Today marks the end of 32 years of channel four's horse racing coverage before ITV take over and I think they have a hard act to follow. I had a lump in my throat at the end of the last race but I spat it up and made sure my old mum had finished washing the dishes before plugging in the hoover for her. This helped to take my mind of things.

Bad enough listening to the reactionary old tosser early on a Wednesday morning on Talksport.

Can recall a late night show when Channel 4 was in its infancy where he remarked that the people of Liverpool should be thankful for having rich visitors pishing in their gardens and entrances on Grand National day. He was a w*****r many years ago and remained one while on Channel 4 racing.

It is to a modern thinking metrosexual like me with left leaning political views. However, on reflection, I am not opposed to pishing in public places if the mood takes me!

Many, many, many years ago we went down to Liverpool shortly after New Year's Day to watch Liverpool against Newcastle United. In the evening we visited one of the city's famous dancehall pick up joints. After having ten too many I decided it was time for my 'scratcher' so headed back to our B&B. On the way 'home' I must admit to having relieved myself more than once in the land of Cilla and Gerry!

Perhaps. However, he knows more about betting on horseracing than almost any man alive. @Der Kaiser being the only possible exception. Both have gone skint more times than Donald Trump.
