Actually on BBC Radio Cumbria Kavanagh was massively complimentary about us.I'll quote "I'm not disappointed with the lads because they put it in today and that's all I ask. Look Bristol City are a very good side and when you've got a guy like Jay Emmanuel-Thomas playing for you then you're going to be a handful for anyone.I thought we did ok first half but stepped off second and we can't do that against good team.I think they'll go on and win a fair few now I just wish it'd be after us. The league position is not reflective of how good they are"Let's hope he's right.
Well we have all said once we get that first win we will go on a run.... Next up, Lee johnsons Oldham....
Didn't junior and his boys beat Swindon today, whatever would R/P think if he ( junior) and they beat us....God help us....
Exactly the word to use - encouraging. Let's not get carried away because we need to win and draw consistently. One swallow does not make a summer and neither does one win signal total recovery. But its a move in the right direction.
We have 5 home games from 7 in November.. If we are still bottom after that I will accept whatever fate SOD gets, until then, lets build on yesterdays win with some positive support eh.!
Good win. Pleased for the team and SOD BUT In reality we had to win sometime Historically we have a great record at Carlisle One win in 21 means we aint exactly pulling up any trees We need to prove we can consistently get results before I change my opinion of SOD and the players
'whatever would R/P think if he ( junior) and they beat us' I'd think that SOD had carried on playing the stupid tip tap 2mph possession game. As for Junior - he was useless as a player - it's why he couldn't get a contract at 31. The poor bu**er just wasn't strong, big, brave, quick etc etc enough. Won't mention his sideways passing. However, the only praise I ever gave him was his footballing brain. It's quite likely he'll make a manager, he couldn't be worse than he was a player.
